Indeed the art style / setting is showing some creativity for sure and that has my attention.Without playing it, it looks fun. The art/design and humor all seem to blend well together.
But that's looks alone, the other 90% of me will make a decision once I play for myself.
Sure.Interesting tactic.
That means another game where level trumps absolutely everything, due to a very sharp power curve that has been artificially improved (your power doesn't just increase in potential as you level, it also increases immediately with relative level). Which means another game where you need to level first, asap, then see what you can do.Troy_sl "Aether" Hewitt said:The bonus deflect and crit deflect chance earned by a higher level/rank target when fought by a lower level attacker has been increased. This applies to PvE combat only, meaning that higher level players will avoid lower level/rank creatures' attacks more often, but will find that higher level/rank creatures avoid their attacks more often as well.
This line makes me sigh at the amount of task quests you're going to have.Players are now limited to 40 active quests.
Well it IS a WoW-style game, and they're making no secret of that. I expect evolutions from it and not revolutions.Sure.
But, I spotted this:

Sigh.
They have talked about "choice mattering" and not being able to talk to the other faction. Fuck that, you just cut off half the people I can play with. Lore be damned. What don't you like? (not insinuating that the game is perfect and wonderful, but I'm curious)
I understood what Draegan was asking. Didn't seem like he was being defensive to me. /shrug. Guess I'm just being a kiss ass or something. He means you can't please all of the people all of the time. Which of course is true, and it's funny the game so many mmo nerds hold up as the golden child didn't even conform to what people want. It literally pissed in your face and said this is what you get, enjoy it or not, we don't give a shit.
Yeah, and that's fine--but as more information has come out, it seems like they are developing systems that all rely on leveling as the carrot. Every reward they can't think of something better for, is rest experience. And that currency becomes devalued quickly in this type of game--it just seems like it might be another flashy game that's amazing for 3 months and then everyone is back here wondering where it all went wrong.Yeah, I really wasn't surprised by that. This has been a Level 1-Max then do stuff type of game from the very beginning.
