The reviews were originally shown as a written review sheet at the end of the chapter, while the anime is (to everyone's surprise it seems) clearly in the "show don't tell" business. However the details and world building is better than 90% of the isekai trash, with lots of elaborate small jokes and things you didn't know but make sense in their world or are real. Two examples:
- the name of the futa angel is "Crim", but for the sex-change brothel they used female alias names in their review and his was "Clitorim"
- Spotted hyenas have an enlarged fused vagina with a pseudo-penis. No, it's totally real.
The only other manga I can remember that was clearly meant as a parody/joke, but nonetheless has amazing attention to detail and world-building is the Not-Putin Isekai

There is a flood of 10/10 reviews on MyAnimeList for Ishuzoku Reviewers, making it not only top airing anime of the season, but ranked #2 total with 9.15, just after FMA: Brotherhood (9.22).
Fellow persons of culture stick together + Streisand effect. MAL also fucked up, because they did nothing for the botted 1/10 reviews for Chihayafuru S3 tanking the score from upper 8s to lower 7s, so they are between a rock and a hard place to prove they are not hypocrites.

Theory is that someone was salty that Chihayafuru was over another show in the fall 2019 season. If you know that review scores follow gaussian normal distribution it's very obvious:

It has a certain cleverness to it. I like how it throws all the typical tropes on end. The succubi are notorious for being the best sex symbols, yet in this show they're fucking horrible. Even though the elf is beautiful, most guys don't want to sleep with her because she's old. lol
