One commenter said "it resembles an upbeat version of Serial Experiments Lain", mixed in with enemies/fights in the line of the surreal/symbolic fights of Madoka and with Bakemonogatari vibes. Makes sense, because the soundtrack is done by the same guy who did the later Bakemonogatari soundtracks.
The episode is not chronological.
Timeline in the middle/Flashback:
MC gets bullied in school, new transfer student comes in, they become friends, yuri vibes, transfer student commits suicide, MC goes full hikikomori.
Timeline around it:
MC walks around in dusk/dawn to avoid people, finds a dying firefly and buries it. Like the cat in Bakemonogatari It comes back as supernatural being and offers her an egg. When leaving the house she is transported to her dreamworld, where she is enticed to break the egg. Other girl comes out of it and has to survive for an hour in a death game. MC breaks down, but at the end confronts her own fear/feelings and helps the other girl survive.
She can buy eggs and help the girls in the eggs, with the goal to revive the friend who committed suicide if she helps enough girls. It's dangerous though, as injuries carry over from dreamworld to the real world.

So this series will really be about Ohto coming to terms with the loss of a friend, a friend who committed suicide at school. Probably because she was being bullied for being Ohto's friend (who herself was bullied for having different colored eyes).

So..I had to watch it twice to even try to understand what Honesty GL is getting at. They want some kind of welfare system I think for their newbie guild members and the other guilds don't want to pay for it?
Also the Rayneshia (manga name) vs Lenessia (anime name for the first 2 seasons) for the princess kept throwing me off and keep thinking they are talking about someone else. The only interesting thing that happened IMO is the marriage thing to the princess because it will probably lead to some comedy maybe.
Honesty Guild leader Dude becoming a "Lord" means what exactly in the free city of Akiba where anyone can come and go as they please? Like if the Prince of Estonia visits Tallahassee.....who cares. Probably missing something like the NPC's think making him a "Lord" gives them a bargaining chip and legitimacy or something in the free city, I don't know.
People missing and possibly getting out is an interesting angle. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

This is the best part of the show: We don't know yet.
The PV, promo pictures, and the end of the episodes hint at more girls than her using the egg gacha.

I don't disagree with you, but the first episode was about Ohto finally standing up to a bully, with tons of allusions to acts of bullying taking place in her school.. which she ignored. I imagine all the other girls using the Eggs have similar stories, with the Acca using them for some purpose. The interesting thing to me, based on the first episode, will be the girls/people IN the Eggs.

She was bullied herself because of her heterochromia, so I guess it's hard on her to stand up to bullies. There is a lot of symbolism in this show: The flowers on the floor in front of the door to the roof where she finds the statue were lilies, which hints at there being more than feelings of friendship between them, which eventually lead to the fallout and Koito's suicide.

Is this going to be the final season of Re: Zero? I hope so, the story seems kinda dead. The only lesson Subaru has learned, so far, is that persistence pays off. How many times did he say "I love you" to Emilia in this latest episode, as many as the Witch of Envy told Subaru she loved him? Anyway, I think the show needs to wrap things up. =/

Mushoku Tensei delivered the goods. I binged the manga a few weeks ago, so probably not going to be anything new to me this season, but that's OK! Good animation quality, good VAs.

Okay reincarnated as a spider is lolololol. Essentially satire against overplayed isekai. As the MC is a girl who hates spiders being reincarnated as a spider and just making assumptions based on typical light novel tropes. Then finding out that its worthless and doesn't work that way. Hilarity ensues.

Tatoeba - It's keeping my interest with the simplicity of the story. It's not great, but it doesn't bother me too much. Just a mindless watch for kids.
Hataraku - Dropped both of these. I have too much shit to watch as it stands.
Yuru Camp - I was right, wife loves it.
Kumo desu - Ok, 2nd episode was much better. I'm starting to get sucked into it more. Lots of characters that suck, though.
Jaku - This show continues to be great.
Ore dake - I want to like this show, I really do, but it's shit. Wow is it bad. Ok, this is my first real drop. Bad show is bad.
