If they added a Whale Mount to World of Warcraft, I would absolutely buy it.
The game certainly has it's share of goofy looking mounts (most of the 'silly' ones come from the store, though), but it is mostly just a different aesthetic choice. WoW is based more in Western Fantasy, while FF14 fully embraces the anime/Eastern Fantasy angle.

I do have to admit I have heard really nothing but positives about the game. Maybe at some point I could get into it but honestly the FF series has been dead to me since FF11 didn't allow me to jump and I like many others bounced to World of Warcraft and never looked back.
Although I have to say the FF7 remake does get me half chubbed.

Honestly, FFXIV is the most fun in an MMO since wow for me. I'm kind of done with wow - bfa really kicked my dick in and classic just doesn't excite me. That said, FFXIV is not a perfect MMO. The UI is absolutely disgusting in every aspect imaginable EXCEPT for the fact that controller support is native and pretty well done.I do have to admit I have heard really nothing but positives about the game. But graphics are amazing, classes are mostly unique (and of course are traditional ff classes for nostalgia), and raids are difficult with a low number required. The world is stunning, the zones look great.
I know you watched about 3 seconds last night but tune in more and you'll see what I'm talking about.
My biggest complaint, and I realize this is retarded... The font above players/npcs really bothers me. It's like... Too big

I played FF when it went through its relaunch a while back, maybe 2 yrs ago? anyway yeah its the standard wowish bulllshit and I guess it was ok, I just cant stand the entire Final Fantasy universe though, the pikachus and the whatevers get on my nerves. The silly little furry shit, the armor looks all gay, meh. It might be a great game I just cant get over that shit.
