It was way easier to clear then Hellfire was, but typically the first raid zones are never very hard. Little harder then Highmaul (?) Cenarius is the only real block in the zone on Mythic. Mythic is as fun as you want it to be really, if you hate precise strats and bashing your head on an encounter you're going to have a bad time.

Note: We dont go for world firsts, but on 12 hours a week we clear top 100 EU/US, it doesn't have to be horribad.

I just think Kara is a huge DPS check for most bosses. Moroes isn't that difficult but it's fucking chaos as a healer if the fight goes on too long. DH was pretty fucking stupid to heal on like 4 different bosses cause they're constantly dashing into AOE that hits for 90% of their health. The last half of Kara is definitely not melee friendly.

I enjoyed the place a lot but god damn is it stressful for heals.

Been noticing a lot of "not melee friendly" this expansion. Granted, I play a melee so I notice it more. And of course there will be *some* fights that favor ranged over melee and vice versa. But seems skewed in favor of ranged so far based on my experience and the comments here.

Any ranged want to chime in? Any fights you really hate while melee get to freely dps the boss?

Really can't stress enough of fucked DH is in Kara. Even good DH's will have a hard time managing their movement enough to not die to shit constantly. I mentioned this at Legion launch also. Being highly mobile is good. Your rotation depending your ass zipping around encounters where you have to constantly avoid shit is not.

Curator, Medivh, last boss of Kara are just extreme examples of being not melee friendly. You would honestly prob be fucked on Curator if you brought 3 melee. Unless you got really really creative with how to manage the fire and position if perfectly. Meanwhile range can just lawlz it.

Isn't this how it is constantly? The trade off being as a melee you are 100% mobile? I love on Enh shaman being able to immediately start damaging an enemy instead of having to start casting. The problem is I love being able to stand way back blasting and seeing the whole fight.

That's a reasonable trade off. Ranged does better dps on this fight, melee does better dps on that fight. Not, fuck you melee, your group fails for bringing too many.

Hmm Medivh was super easy for us. I mean when did i even have to move aside from when he made the ground frosty? Killed him on our 2nd try and only wiped once because healer moved w/ wreath. Think we had 1 range and his dps was pretty trash. The mana wurm took a few tries but was burned in the end. I think Moroes was our derp fight because we kept fuckin up like tards.

My healer buddy continues to be a no-show so I decided to stop playing shitty alts and bring my warrior into Legion. Is there any reason in picking up blacksmithing at this point in the expansion? It seems incredibly expensive and caps out fast. I think I've reached 845 on my demon hunter without doing a single heroic or mythic dungeon.

Why oh why does this quest offer only 2 855 items after 8 weeks of gated bullshit? Are the interns still running the show over at Blizshit? Im imagining they are too derp to figure out a real reward prior to releasing this quest so this epic fail of listed rewards are nothing but placeholders.

fyi - Quest is Soul Prism of the Illidari. - wouldnt be so bad if you didnt need 80 and could only get 10 a week.....nm it would still be bad and worthless.

Huh, I guess we're a little weird that my guildies pretty much loved Kara.

The nostalgia bit was fun but they could've switched things around with Moroes since it's more or less the same fight. The second half was great though. Make sure you hit alt-z before jumping down after curator for best results.

Really the only trouble we had was the spiders on the alternate route to Attunmen for the last crystal there. Fucking web spray just tore my alt pally tank and we missed the nightbane timer with a couple wipes. Other than that the whole instance was pretty fun.

I got the feeling this was the ideal content for the "casual core" audience that wanted challenging 5-man content, though it may be too long for some groups. Took us almost two hours the first time.

Not sure why Mythic only give 1 shard at the end...80 mythic runs to complete? Fuck you. Raid bosses should drop 1 each IMO. Even with that, it would take a long time.
