Yea the ML change was among the top reasons I quit. Literally a change for the top 1% of the top 1% and it literally does nothing. Next change will be you can't trade loot period. I mean these mother fuckers leveled up 6 professions on 6 different characters and had to transfer between servers because Tauren Mill server didn't have the mats needed to level them up. All so they could bypass the retarded system of having a higher ilvl piece before you can trade gear.

Seriously fuck blizzard.

It does make sense though. They had the gear to do her and had an attack plan that worked so its just a matter of excecuting it again. And the second trip through the raid probably makes it a bit easier as most people probably are getting some upgrades on the second pass.

I wonder if Method kept data on the impact of all of their prep work. Just how many times did their boss order on splits allow them to allocate a piece of gear better, how many times did they get to move a trinket/ring/hat because of the tradeskill stuff, etc.

First reset isn't Week 1, so I'm good with that. The ability to game the system for that much gear that quickly is...not ideal, though.

I have to guess that blizzard is going to look at that with a dubious eye I am just curious if they really bring down the hammer in some fashion like they did with master looting to limit or stop your ability to funnel gear like this.

Funny thing is if they did that, the top players will just roll 6 of the same class and run splits for all of them, and take the one who gets the most drops. They did just that during Legion when legendaries were extremely scarce.

Moral of the story is, sockers gonna sock, and Blizzard needs to stop fucking the rest of the game trying to stop them.

They didn't stop master loot because of the sockers. They did it because every budget ass mythic and heroic guild in the world thought they were Method and we're funneling gear getting the casulols to quit. Once a person quits a guild in an mmo they are very likely to unsubscribe.

The new system is dumb. Everything should be FV style loot where nothing is ever bound to characters. Or they need to readdress stats where getting a higher ilvl piece means it is an upgrade. I got a ring last night. Awful stats. 10 ilvls higher then what I have so I couldn't trade it. Thanks for the 50 gold.

They didn't change it to forced personal loot to stop split runs, they did it to make tuning the initial mythic encounters slightly easier. They know the super hardcore guilds will always do what they have to do to get loot, nothing they can do about that, nor should they.

That said, forced personal loot is really fucking dumb and didn't help them tune anything anyway so it is a huge failure if you ask me.

Ion does give high end split runs as a reason (not the primary reason) for the implementation of universal personal loot.

Yes, for your run of the mill, average guild, they didn't want you to feel like you had to do multiple split runs of heroic to enter mythic.

I feel like if you tried to design it the game would never happen you would just sit there and bitch about the players of this game you never made for years.

Over all I am fine with the game. I log in and there are plenty of things for me to do. I need to find a new guild, that's the worst part of playing right now because I don't really want to put in that time. You see, if you look at all the rewards they put in as something that rewards you homogeneously for doing the things you enjoy instead of something you need to grind, the game be ones more fun.

I only have 3 bosses down on heroic but the new raid is pretty fun. Some cool new mechanics. Most of it is too easy because you can ignore the mechanics. My least favorite fight is Blockade. It's the same fight we have had in like 2 other raids. On normal the orbs are given to a random player. It's hilarious when some idiots get it like 4 times in a row and you wipe because none of the shit on the ground got cleared.
