I actually did, went I5-6600k and Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard. Didn't like any of the cases at the micro center unfortunately.

Is a "gold" standard power supply that much better then the lessser ones? Is 16gb of ram worth getting over 8? Is I-7 worth the extra money for only gaming? Thanks everyone
