I've been running RE as well, though I did try Surge for a while with non-optimal engravings. I really dont think the difference is all that meaningful, sure the 12 Million dmg surge's are nice, but RE does it more often, and is WAY FUCKING EASIER to play. Can't tell you how many times a boss...

They really need to put some new content out. I'm already done for the week on my main, only thing left is dailies for 7 days now? Ugh. Failed a weapon at 90%, 96%, passed, 90%, passed, 60%, 66%, 72%, passed. Wasted so many fucking mats i just rage logged.

Just fyi I bought all mats to push my Deathblade from 1340 to 1370 this week. It cost roughly 60k gold. Only thing I DIDN'T need to buy was honor shards (which are actually really costly), but I bought all leaps and weapon/armor stones, as well as the stupid fusion material also.

The amount of weapons i've failed while showing a 90%+ success rate tells me those numbers are complete bullshit anyhow. Failed a 97% for +14 last night and almost threw my mouse.

First MMO in a long time where time just disappears for me while playing. I'm enjoying the hell out of it, other than the fails on weapons which seem to set me back by a full day each time.

First island i thought was pretty terrible. 40-50 seems like a bit of a slog.

Yah Velious back in the day felt like peak EQ, but now I absolutely can't stand that expansion. Its the point in time where being a solo player you just run out of options. There feels like nothing to do (or nothing you CAN do) without a raid. Even 2-3 boxing feels weak.

Just make it a melee proc based class that has DD spells you can apply to your weapon. Maybe give a group buff that does the same for all melee or something. Cold-DD slows enemies by X%, Fire-DD applies a low level dot, etc.

Yah huge innovations like 3 action buttons per weapon and.... crafting... gathering for hours at a time. Key takes a full day to make for a dungeon. No mounts... JUST RUN. What a fucking joke. This is a good MMO to you? Just shows how low the bar has gotten.

That's why I lost interest in the server so quickly tbh. Nothing has any value , or is even hard to get. Game just feels meaningless when the best drops in the game are just buyable in the tunnel.

Level 25-35 was absolutely awful. I remember spending 2 hrs running around looking for wine for a "feast". What a joke. Gets better after that thank god.

I'm actually shocked you'd rank these jobs the same. Bard feels awful to play and Red Mage flows so nicely, not to mention hits about 5x harder with it's abilities. The two arent even close to the same tier imo. Bard is D tier imo. Hahah.

Im having serious job envy at all times in this game... Made like 6 different jobs to 15 at this point... lol. The rotations all feel pretty clunky and slow at low levels, so i havent really found a job i really enjoy that much yet.

Are there a bunch of new players giving this a go? We should group up and do some of the early raids or some shit. I'm really enjoying the game so far, and from what i've heard it gets better as you progress. I'm lvl 27 atm, just about to unlock my real job.

Welp apparently i chose awful picks for my first two classes. I tried BLM and was like "wtf is this clunky shit?". Felt so strange and awkward. For melee dps what should I do? Unlock Rogue? Or just suck it up and go Marauder like everyone is saying for fast queues and survivability?

Why is that? Dungeon queues? Or is the class bad?

I wanted to do Samurai , but it seems like that may not be available to me in the trial? Which initial class is the best for the route to them?
