Took a lengthly break from gaming to travel and focus on work. I'm actually glad I didn't play too much of Alpha. For the first time since like 2004 I will not have maxed out a character during an alpha/beta test. Some may see that as a disadvantage with ArcheAge, but I'll be glad that most...
I mean I've played the Russian version enough to know I will be buying whatever founder's pack Trion throws at us. An alpha key wouldn't hurt either, Scott.
Haha, yeah the stream was centered around exploring the world and then it ended up in Alpha player dance party mode. That's when the dog humper appeared.
I saw it on Reddit, which of course you could take with a grain of salt. Scapes confirmed it on Twitter that some, not all, got referral keys to give out with their invites:

Unfortunately I suffer from the new shiny MMO high as well. I've been pretty negative about my experiences in ESO, but I feel left out for not playing at launch. There is just something about the launch of an MMO that I can't avoid. Shit.
I got into beta around November and from then until now I have barely made it to level 20. Most of this is due to my hectic work schedule. I have played mostly as a Spellslinger during my testing and my experience has been all over the place, because they keep making sweeping changes to the...
Blizzard is claiming on or before Dec 20th for WoD. Wildstar will have an opportunity to maintain sub numbers after the first month with little opposition. The only thing on the horizon besides WoD is two digital expansions for TOR. It all depends on how people respond and how Carbine...
Surprised this hasn't been posted yet.
June 3rd launch. Gamerzine accidentally put up their article a day early.

They claim that they are waiting to optimize because they keep changing stuff. My assumption is that there will be a patch specifically for optimization once they are in a place where they won't be making sweeping changes before release.
Yeah SWTOR couldn't even have more than 20 people on screen without it becoming a slide show. I've been critical of ESO, but I do give credit where it is due on ESO's ability to have a lot of players on screen. The engine is a billion times better than SWTOR's.
Wow, failboat on the double...
In a brief search I just did it looks like there will be a vanity cash shop, but you're right I've read few of "There is" "There isn't" articles. So who knows.
Pay no mind to Rescorla. If it isn't a post about Ut being wrong or a glowing review of ESO he will text rape you. INB4 anything he says in retaliation.
Looks like they are actually going to add nameplates. Should of been in the game from the get go.

I'm in the same boat. I've at least given a month to a new MMO since I started playing SWG in 2003. ESO will be the first MMO I won't be making a box purchase on.
Re-installed just to see if anything had changed since the last go around. Beyond a really steady frame rate with max settings which I will tip my hat to, this game is still no where ready for April. I honestly can't even make it out of the starter island. Nothing about this interests me...
I posted this in the ESO thread, but I'll post it here too. The next big patch in February unlocks 1-50, warplots and raid testing. My guess is that it's the miracle patch before a release is announced for May.
Sounds exactly like the ability misfire bug that plagued SWTOR from beta until last month when they finally fixed it. No surprise though since this game is getting rushed out the door for April.
Just read over the MMORPG.COM Q/A with Stephen Frost. A lot of the questions we already have answers to, but judging by "polish mode" Frost described to one question. I'm guessing this comes out either in March or June at the latest. Gotta avoid that initial box sale pandemonium that ESO will...
