    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Chloramancer from Rift was really the only time I enjoyed a dps-healer hybrid. Disc is good, but I don't think it's particularly fun.

    MTG thread

Karn is obviously good in a vacuum but it depends on a few things as to how good he'll be in standard. If there are great 5-power hasted creatures he may not be worth it. Also he's way better in decks that can accelerate or control the board, or both. I'm pretty sure he'll see play in...

    Vermintide 2

Game is a blast so far. Certainly worth the current price of like 26$. Even quickplay is fine if you don't have any friends.

    Into the Breach

This comes out today, from the people that made FTL. Already has great reviews, no doubt it's gonna be a good one if you like these types of things.

Toys R Us -- ruining a company is very lucrative

I used to play the Pokemon card game at Toys R Us in like 1997. They had a league with badges and everything. I pinned them to my vest. Rest in peace.

    Slay the spire

Snecko Eye is obviously good, however there is a chance it literally will kill you. It's going to be amazing 90% of the time but that 10% means you can choose to skip it if your deck is already doing good things. Also for anyone new to the game, the biggest tip I'd recommend is just not...

    Ashes of Creation

I'm sure this game will do just as well as all of the other games that were going to be the next big thing. Just face it, no one is going to beat the Walmart of MMOs anytime soon. It's going to take way more innovation than something like this imo.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Legendary items should never have been random. We should of had some kind of currency system day 1 and been able to purchase them. Other then that, Legion was a solid expansion.

    Slay the spire

The silent has better ways of going infinite, and I believed for a long time it was much better than irconclad, but I think the two classes are actually both pretty close. Offering may be the best card in the game, I feel any decent run with 1-2 of them is really hard to lose.

    Slay the spire

New class will be cool. If they can add a couple new bosses/elites/enemies, and maybe 10ish new ? events, I'd be pretty happy. Game is worth picking up if you like rogue-likes/deck-building games/etc.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

My bet is the 23rd. Should be a pretty decent patch if you like alts and stuff.

Gaming addiction to be added to DSM!?

When I was 16 I basically played Warcraft 3/original Dota all day every day, but then some shitty stuff happened irl and I was unable to play. I felt very strong withdrawal symptoms for a couple months after that. I experienced dreams, anxiety and depression because I was not able to play. I...

    World of Warcraft: Classic

We won't see this for 1-2 years at least, probably not going to be a lot of information any time soon regarding details.

    They are billions

I love how the different maps drastically change the game, I'm 40 hours in and still having a great time. One of the best games of 2017 that I was certainly not expecting.

    They are billions

This game is fantastic. I guess if you don't like losing or RTS games, this wouldn't be worth it. Otherwise, 100% worth picking up.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Antorus is quite good, minus like 2-3 small things. Coven is over-tuned probably, and the run-backs are pretty annoying. Oh and I guess the tier sets are sort of screwed up balance wise.

    JRPGs

Tales of Berseria and Persona 5 have kept me busy this year. Super good and pretty deep.

    Telltale games

Haven't played a Telltale game since Tale from the Borderlands because that was the last good thing they did in my opinion. I'm actually glad they are changing things considering the last couple of years. Wolf among us, and Tales from the Borderlands are must plays if you're into visual novels...

    World of Warcraft: Classic

It's certainly going to be extremely niche, which is probably why they didn't do it sooner. Still it's nice to have the option to fuck around in vanilla for nostalgia alone.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

I have no idea why but I actually enjoy leveling, so I guess I'm happy about those changes. Still not sure if the expansion is particular interesting overall but could be neat.

    Cuphead

I'm not a huge fan of side scrollers but this game is super good. It never feels unfair, and the art/music style is fantastic. A+!

What IP would make a great MMO?

A high quality Shin Megami Tensei MMO would be sick, but it's probably too obscure and will probably never happen. It would be like Pokemon but with demons and alignments.

    Overwatch

I hate how timid Blizzard is with changes. If they think the changes are overpowered, meet somewhere in the middle for now and then bump things up. I understand they don't want to jump the shark, but stagnation is pretty horrible too.

    MTG: Arena

I was not aware. I just assume any new MTG product has a huge chance of failure due to past attempts. Maybe something good will happen then.

    MTG: Arena

75% chance this is just garbage, but I always hope when they announce stuff like this it works out. Honestly though, if you're looking for a decent card game that requires more then 2-3 brain cells Eternal is pretty deece already.

    Hearthstone

I think the biggest problem is we expect Hearthstone to be something it isn't. I can't remember a time the meta hasn't had something broken in it, and the depth isn't really there in the mechanics to have the kind of balance MTG does.

    Hearthstone

The ramp is the problem I have with druid. I feel like more then any other class they have draws you just can't beat. On top of that, they now have the power to completely abuse the ramp by mitigating the card disadvantage. Also who had much faith in the Hearthstone team for high end...

    Persona 5

To anyone that just started the series with P5 and enjoyed it, I highly recommend checking out P3 FES/Portable and P4:Golden. While P5 was fantastic, I think the story in P3 was better, and P4 has the best mix of everything in the series. Totally worth going back to play them.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

Guys, guys... can't we all just agree that both Ashley and Kaiden are horrible characters? Still sad they ruined Mass Effect. My play-through right before Andromeda made me remember why I loved the franchise, especially after playing the party/evil twin dlc. That was some good shit.

    Heroes of the Storm

I feel like getting all this free stuff for Heroes of the Storm is about as useful as getting 50 free rentals at a Blockbuster. Doesn't change the fact the game is kind of garbage.

    Persona 5

I do think this is probably the most approachable Persona game, but still would be difficult for an average/mainstream gamer to jump into. That being said, it's pretty much perfect for anyone who has prior SMT/Persona experience. I'm about to finish the 3rd dungeon and the game just keeps...

    Persona 5

So far Persona 5 is the most approachable if you're new to the series, or only vaguely familiar. So far it's been very clear on objectives, and even has a story summary thing in the menu. It also explains things a bit more clearly about what's actually happening with all the alternate world/etc...
