Lamplighters League (1930's Xcom) by HBS, devs of Battletech and Shadowrun

Yeah, I really enjoyed Battletech. It felt a little janky, but once I settled into it was great fun. There are some really good mods out there to introduce a ton of extra mechs, weapons, vehicles, and just bring it closer to tabletop in general.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

I have no hope that this game will be good. Blizzard hasn't been able to release a game worth playing in a long time. I think Legion was the last release from them that I really enjoyed. Prior to that it was probably WOTLK. Having said that, if it turns out I'm wrong I'll pick it up. I just...

    Hogwarts Legacy

FYI for anyone still leery of purchasing from Green Man Gaming, I just purchased the deluxe edition there and am downloading on Steam now. Key seems to be working fine.

That's probably the move if they fix the CD key issue.

I think Green Man Gaming is the site I've seen suggested. They have a discount on it right now of 15%

    Hogwarts Legacy

I agree with that. There's also no reason she would need to include information on his sexual preference in a kid's book. That doesn't mean that she didn't think of him that way when designing the character. The point is that a lack of evidence for one thing, isn't evidence of the opposite.

    Hogwarts Legacy

I'm not sure why some of you guys are having such a hard time with what Tuco said. It's pretty cut and dry: JKR says this is what she thought We have no evidence of what's in JKR's head other than what she tells us It's fine to believe or suspect that she is making it up, but there's no...

That's how I see it too. These people are idiots. Literally trying to destroy people who would otherwise be their supporters.

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Fallout 76 was published by them, not developed by them. At least that's my understanding. I never played it anyway, but I've seen several folks on here say it's an enjoyable game at this point.

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I just don't understand lumping them in with Bioware at all. The only games from Bethesda that I can think that weren't great were games published by Bethesda, not developed by Bethesda. If Starfield sucks it will be their first failure for me. I'm really looking forward to it.

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I still enjoy flagship Bethesda games. I rarely finish them, but I get tons of hours out of them and enjoy running around in the worlds they create. I'm looking forward to Skyrim/Fallout in space, but I do have Gamepass, so there's no reason for me to spend any money on this until DLCs start...

    Battle Brothers

Battle Brothers is one of my favorite games. I just love playing the game in ironman mode and restarting a new company after my previous one gets wrecked. I absolutely love the game. I just picked up Wartales after the most recent update. I like it a lot so far. I suspect by the time all is...

    Embers Adrift

Well, I don't have that, unfortunately. I may have a friend who'd be joining me, but that's it. We'd be looking to form groups on the fly with others who are LFG. I guess that brings up the next question, how's the population?

    Embers Adrift

Ok. I'm considering this, but I think I'm going to hold off for a couple of weeks and see if your positive impressions hold up. I really would like this to be great, but history suggests caution.

    Embers Adrift

When hitting up dungeons in this game is it old school EQ style where you pick a camp spot, break in, and then sit in place and pull to the group? or is it more like a dungeon crawl where you're working your way through the dungeon? I know there's no instancing, so I'm guessing the former?

    UNDECEMBER - Action RPG

I see lots of complaints on Steam about the prices in the cash shop. I haven't taken the time to really look at them yet, but ridiculous prices from a Korean mobile game sounds about par for the course I guess. I might continue to dabble in this a little bit, but I'll probably focus on other...

    UNDECEMBER - Action RPG

I played it a little bit yesterday. Probably halfway through Act 1, so not very far. Like most Korean online games, the story is basically incoherent garbage so far, but I am enjoying the game play at this point. I'll be interested to see how the skill runes, zodiac points, and mastery points...

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

Interesting points. I think you could solve some of that by making the requirements a little more generic. Instead of having to kill the Guk Lord specifically maybe they could require you to kill any boss mob of a certain tier of dungeons. Other goals could be to use a certain skill a number of...

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

I don't know if it's fair to categorize them as EQ haters. They're just pointing out times have changed, the genre has evolved, and the original audience has aged. I think those are facts, not hating. That doesn't mean there's not room for a game catering to folks who want something that adheres...

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Personally, I just want them to do progression servers ala EQ. Do an accelerated release schedule and run it from Vanilla through Legion and just rinse and repeat. I'd play and I think enough others would to justify a handful of servers.

    Total War: Warhammer

All the discussions I've seen so far suggest that they are expecting to be releasing DLC for 3 for several years. I think the actual statement was that they planned for the DLC cycle to be longer for 3 than it was for 2. I would be surprised if they finished with 3 before the end of 2024.

An online Civil War FPS? What could possibly go wrong?

The opposite. TW2 will pull in all of your TW1 factions. When IM is released for TW3 it will pull in all your factions from 1+2.

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Yeah, that's pretty much my experience as well. Assuming they did eventually "fix" FO76, it raises another point, Bethesda doesn't usually abandon their games, even if they had a rough launch. ESO was a frigging mess, but it is one of the better current MMOs out now. I don't like the horizontal...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Bethesda games have always been buggy as hell at release. This is true all the way back to Arena and Daggerfall. I just think the bar for Starfield should be Skyrim and FO4, both buggy and broken, but still fun. I don't think FO76 or ESO (not that anyone has been referring to ESO) are the right...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Yeah, I'm not necessarily avoiding it, but I just have so many games in the backlog that we'll just have to see if I ever make it there. Major Elder Scrolls and Fallout releases are an immediately drop everything and start playing kinda thing though. I will play Starfield as soon as it's...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I haven't played FO76, but I don't think it's a good idea to compare them anyway. Isn't it a different development team than the mainline FO and Skyrim teams? Kinda like comparing ESO to Skyrim?

    King Arthur Knight's Tale

This is done by the same guys who did Van Helsing and Warhammer 40K Inquisitor. It looks right up my alley, so I'll give it a shot. I've got a pretty big backlog right now though, so I'll probably wait to pick it up in a month or two.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

There is no doubt I will try Diablo IV at or near release, but I am not optimistic yet. I think POE, Lost Epoch, and Grim Dawn are all better ARPGs than Diablo III, and it's not even close.

Mass effect Remastered - Legendary Edition - 2021

I wasn't really a fan of Dragon Age. It was the first Bioware game where I felt the formulaic approach to everything was just too in your face to feel fun. KOTOR's story was fantastic. I don't think the gameplay would hold up at all though.

Mass effect Remastered - Legendary Edition - 2021

I don't know. I think I liked 2 a little better than 1. I thought the combat was better in 2, but that the story was better in 1. I felt like 2 seemed innovative at the time, but I think it would feel very dated now. I do agree with your assessment of the combat areas though. They were boring to...
