    The Sci-Fi Book Thread

The short story you are thinking of is called "The Road Not Taken" by Harry Turtledove, first published in 1985. Just copy / pasted your post into ChatGPT.

    Extraordinary

The first few episodes were great. Should have stuck to comedy and not go into the drama bullshit.

I don't get why he keeps going on about the capture card. You can just duplicate the video output on the host PC and do the capture on the secondary PC. From what I got in the video he's doing the capture on the host PC and streaming the resulting video to the secondary one for AI analysis.

    The Sci-Fi Book Thread

Read it a while back, didn't really tickle my pickle. I am thinking of rereading all of Culture again, I was reading some article about the books and this quote got me itching again. Not much of a spoiler but just in case. It's a 2 paragraph quote from Iain M. Banks, Look to Windward

    What vehicle do you drive?

I tried not to go full retard and reign it in a bit. I wanted something nice to look at but also new with warranty and all the nice features you get these days. I joked with some friends about the worst way to spend 25k. It was a Mercedes GLA 45 AMG with ~380 HP from 2016 with ~250.000 miles on it.

    What vehicle do you drive?

This was my previous car. A 2017 Dacia Logan with a 0.9L engine, 90HP and manual transmission. A dream to drive in a very special color ! Regarding german cars, Romania is fucking full of 5+ years old german cars. Pretty sure there's an equal number of BMW's and Dacia's on the road and only one...

You know you're getting old when.....

When you get a friend suggestion on facebook (if that isn't a sign itself) of a super hot chick with a familiar last name that you can't really place until you figure out you went to her fucking baptism and she's now 22.

    What vehicle do you drive?

I saw a quote on facebook (of all places) a long time ago that said something like "If you don't smile every time you see your car, you bought the wrong car". It kinda stuck with me and said fuck it. It really tickles my pickle all the looks and interest I get about it, it's pretty expensive for...

    What vehicle do you drive?

That's exactly what I was looking for. A taller car that's easy to park and buzz around town. I also looked at a Honda Civic but the bumper would touch the ground getting in the parking lot at work and it looked a bit to much boy racer for my taste (yeah, I know). No PTA, my cat is finally over...

    What vehicle do you drive?

What do you guys think of my new car ? I pretty much went all mid-life-crisis and bought it on looks alone. Could have gone for a Toyota CHR for better fuel economy and warranty but it doesn't look like this ! 1.2L, 3 cylinder, FWD, 130HP, about 25k green bucks.

    Service Providers (Internet, TV, Etc)

You can also go source -> top of hill -> your place but it all depends on the power availability on the top of the hill. If you have to go solar & shit it gets complicated.

You can easily setup a 10+ Km wireless link if you have a direct line of sight. Mikrotik sells some amazing stuff for this starting at ~200$.

    Fall 2020 Anime Thread

Got around to watching Dorohedoro on Netflix. Fucking loved it. I'm a sucker for weird violent stuff like this. Mardock Scramble is another that comes to mind and fits this profile. Do you guys have any other recommendations ?

I just had my best run yet with the bow's special + 6 arrows + doom on special + extra doom damage with delay + doom damage stacking on hit + 30% special speed + deflect on dash. Hades melted in like 20 seconds. I'm up to ~70 runs now and 30 clears. Been playing wit the "upgrade your booms...

I watched The Good Wife over the years. Pretty fucking great tv series and a lot of episodes had some really interesting scenarios. I think the name pushed a lot of people away. I got into it because I always found the main character super hot.
