The defense has been pretty poor recently; Samsonov can mask 80% of the teams problems. With Holtby, every defensive mistake is basically conceding a goal, and that's on top of regular goals that he's just going to randomly let in; he's not going to make a single worthwhile save at this point. Reirdan needs to get some of that Trotz magic back in the defense, the team as it's playing now isn't winning crap no matter who's in goal

Nah, Samsonov can't mask it. Not to that degree when they're giving up that much like they had been the last couple games.

Although Holtby was pretty great tonight. Grubauer was actually pretty good himself but we did enough to come back.
