I thought the Thor movies were done? That his contract was up and riding into the sunset after IW2. Or due to the success of Ragnarok have they been ambiguous to the fact that a Thor 4 may happen?

Hemsworth didn't want to do Thor in the vein of 1+2 but now that they are letting him cut his hair and having more "fun" with the character he said it was possible. Probably comes down to money at this point.

I also think all bets are off if Disney (now that they own both IPs) decides to recreate the Avengers vs. X-men story from the comics, where Thor leads the Avengers against the Phoenix Force. Even Hugh Jackman admitted how juicy a cross-over would be for all involved.

God Thor with this ridiculous version of Stormbreaker is too powerful to roll with anyone in the entire MCU except maybe Captain Marvel, if they set her power level similar to where it was in Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He one-shot 6 gem Thanos and would have killed him outright if he'd aimed for the head, instead of hitting him in the chest so he could shit talk before he killed him.

Easy to work around since he's come back as a different gender in the comics. They could toy with the idea of his soul and vessels or some shit and easily recast. The real problem would be finding someone who could pull that character off as well as he did/has.

Hiddleston has a 6 film contract and Infinity Wars makes 5 (Thor 1-3, Avengers 1, Avengers 3). He'll be in flashbacks in Avengers 4 and then he's most likely done. The story is that he was supposed to die in Thor 2 (which raises the question of why the hell they signed him to a 6 film contract if true) but the test audiences didn't believe he was dead, which caused them to tack on the bit at the end with Loki masquerading as Odin.

Patrick Stewart was the one who said he's happy retiring the character after Logan, good way to go out. Jackman still has some grit left in him.

He had said at one point in the past, when there was not even a glimmer of hope that it would happen, that he'd love to team up with the Avengers. Since then, he's stated that it is a little late for him, but he'd love to see the character, under another actor, get the team up, because he feels the character would provide great interaction with people like Tony Stark, Hulk, etc.

Of course, everything is subject to change if the truck-full of money they back up to his house is big enough (not his words).

pretty sure jackman is just done with logan. he obviously loves the character but it's hell on his body.

Unfortunately he is signed up for the DCU, he is perfect for Black Adam, which makes it even more sad since DC sucks.

Disney owns DC now though right? Or did they just buy X Men and DC is still owned by someone else? I thought Disney owned both now.
