how would Gilg discount Johnny Football's season if he was in a difference conference I wonder. Klein plays the most important position, on a team that was in the title hunt almost all year. His stats aren't the greatest ever, but can you name another player on KSU's roster? Dude went 7-1 vs AQ qualifying teams with winning records and had 25 tds in those 8 games (we've seen the graphic.. the same that shows Johnny at 2-2 with 5 total tds and 6 TO).

It's not a good year for the heisman in general, you can make a case for anyone but to discredit Klein's case is a joke.

also. How is Cinci and upgrade to Texas Tech? Maybe he just really wanted out of fucking Lubbock

Does A&M pass the ball? If so, that's not even a real offense. No way he supports that.

Cincy is not even close to a better job than Tech. Tubb hated Tech though from the moment he got there. No surprise he left, but I thought if he did it would be for a CU or something. Nothing against Cincy, but its just an odd move.

Heisman special is fucking gay - I always forget to just tune in at 7:56 every year and end up watching an hour of dick sucking. Think Manziel wins it, think Manti deserves it.

Three full-time defensive players in the top ten. Wow. Glad to see Lynch and Tavon Austin got in.

Foggy why do I have to die for your sins?
Because Mack Brown is an unjust god.

For those counting at home, that is two Heisman winners in a row that wanted to go to Texas but Mack Brown refused to offer scholarships.

All you LSU guys, Titan, Elurin and I should meet up on Bourbon pre Sugar. My friend even has a pad to party at which s some old 1820s Bienville street house filled with his slutty, corndog smelling lsu girls.

Seriously though we should meet up. I think i will have a few section 2 tickets as well when this ebay ticket bundle gets here. Think about it, its the game of the year with no clear underdog sorta like cincy/uf 3 years ago. That was a nail biter.

Should be able to pick up tickets prior to the game for less than face value

And if we are retroactively giving out Heisman's then Ndonkeykong Suh should have gotten one instead of Ingram.
I've been saying that for a while now, and it pains be to do so because I downright loathe Nebraska as a Mizzou fan, but Suh was the most dominant player I've seen in College Football in the last decade at least. Maybe the most dominant player since Barry Sanders.

Clowney is better.

He might be eventually, but he isn't yet. I watched a lot of South Carolina games this year, and he isn't the disruptive force on every single play, run or pass, that Suh was. But we are comparing a senior Suh with a sophomore Clowney. They might be equally disruptive in the pass game, but Clowney has a long way to go before he makes the impact that Suh did in run defense. Part of that has to do with the difference in positions though. Teams can simply run away from Clowney since he's on one side, there was no getting away from Suh since he was a DT right in the middle of the line. That also makes Suh's pass rush even more impressive, you generally don't see DTs getting the kind of QB pressure that he consistently did, that's usually the role of the DEs like Clowney.

Then again, we won't get to see a Senior Clowney. Hell, I could make an argument that Aldon Smith might have been better than both as a Senior, but instead of his Senior season at Mizzou, he's a 2nd year starter for the 49ers(he left after his RS Soph year, with 2 years of college eligibility left). Hell, hes got a good shot at setting the all-time NFL season sack record(He's 4 short with 4 games left) and this could have been his senior year at Mizzou, he would be raping college O-lines this year.

Discussion on another board about teams that had great assistants at one time that may or may not been a great team. Of course LSU came up (on a LSU board) with Saban, Muschamp, Fisher, and Dooley (ok he was a good assistant) at once.

Anyone want to throw their team into the mix?

I think UT with Chavis and Cutcliffe was as good at head coach and the two coordinators as any team in history. Fulmer didn't develop any good young assistants though, which is part of the reason he tailed off at the end.

WVU had a very good staff with Richrod, Butch Jones, Barwis (best S&C coach in the nation easy...tons of pros work out with him), Trickett (FSU), Casteel etc
