Bran will rule all of Westeros from the shrubbery by permanently warging into Hodor and retaking the Seven Kingdoms after the Others ride herd across the south and then bring the Free Cities to heel with a clenched, root-bound fist.

One Hodor to Hodor them all.

it will be weird to have jaime in KL for the PURPLE WEDDING, its another 6 episodes till Tyrion escapes so a long time to kill. I guess Brienne will take off to find Arya, kinda weird she will just abandon Sansa instead of becoming her protector or something. man, I hope those 6 episodes aren't filled with shitty Dany/Daario/SlaveLyfe boredom porn

Sansa goes missing pretty quickly after the wedding to have Littlefinger adventures. Brienne has no reason to stay with Arya out there to find.

Wife says the books go on for chapters in minute detail over the dumbest stuff. So that while the story is pretty good, they are very hard to read, and sometimes have to skip paragraphs, or chapters because you just don't care about all that detail?

True?

The show is excellent but the books are still 100x better.

I didn't realize it back in November, but the GoT non-spoiler thread is the main reason I pussed out of being a mod.

And yeah, Jaime saw the fake Arya on her way out. The fake Arya is Sansa's old sidekick, Jeyne Poole.

Also if they don't have the Jaime/Loras scene on the drawbridge I will murder someone. One of the best threats in any book ever.

Come join me and remod it with me, it's grand fun. :/

True enough. It's his personal style. If you like that sort of style, you'll love it, because he's manic about it. His sentences are short but his thoughts very much meander.

You can read an entire 1,000 pages and be left wondering, "Ok... so what?"

TBH it's sort of like a Grateful Dead song in book form. It just kinda wanders around touching everything but it never settles.

You know how they say EQ was an experience, not a game? Game of Thrones is the expression of a world -- it's really not very much of a story. It's kinda like if Tolkien had written the Simmarrilion... but been under contract for 20,000 pages.

If you're prone to like this sort of writing you will LOVE the way he does it. If not... meh.

I kinda think that's his problem with finishing the series. I honestly don't think he can settle... and it's at the point in the books where he has to. I'm sure it's tedious and painful for him.

You'd think that Sansa would be happier with the deal, tbh. Yeah.. he's an ugly little mutant dwarf. On the other hand... he's not Jeoffry.

I am not sure the new Daario is an improvement over the old one. Time will tell I guess. Prince Oberon has some potential, seems like he is here to take a piece out of the Lanisters ass.

Thought the same when I saw Brienne wasn't going to jail. They better not skimp on that shit. They'll probably rearrange some meet with Loras cos that's some classic Jaime right there.

So the no spoiler thread is pussyshat again, I take it.

Because Tywin melted down Tuco's sword of banning.

Of course they do, although I never skip paragraphs or chapters (???). Some people are impatient when they read, so when book 4 rolls out and 25% of the book is Cersei chapters everyone gets all up in arms. I found her stuff interesting. GRRM writes certain "dumb" things in great detail, but he's telling the story he wants in the way he wants. While some segments are a bit obtuse, I don't think anything is boring enough to skip, certainly in book 1-3. Book 4 is a little slower, and Book 5 you can tell GRRM doesn't really know where he wants the story to go.

These are definitely worth the read. In the very least, listen to the audio books. Roy Dotrice is masterful at what he does when reading these books, plus you can hear him moan from the pleasure of a penis going into his vagina.
