Shit is everywhere. From the Mayo clinic on the ANA test.

The presence of antinuclear antibodies is a positive test result. But having a positive result doesn't mean you have an autoimmune condition. Many people who don't have an autoimmune condition have positive ANA tests. This is most likely to be true of people assigned female at birth who are older than 65.

You can search YT for Bob and Brad, they have free PT stuff for every type of injury. The stuff for shoulders/rotator cuffs is pretty specific, but easy to do. Just do the exercises often and take it easy on it otherwise.
i have watched a lot of their vids over the years, didn't know bob passed away last year.

Thought i tore my rotator cup again, but turns out frozen shoulder. Dr suggested not getting a shot yet and do few weeks of physical therapy. Could take 6 to 12 months to go away.
I had this starting in late 2024 and most of 25. I did PT and had a steroid injection every three months. I thought it was a pinched nerve at first because if I moved my arm a certain way or lifted wrong pain shot down from my shoulder to my finger tips.

Well that sucks, I knew one of them had gotten sick and was stepping away from making videos a while back. As long as their YT channel exists it is still a treasure trove for anyone who needs PT.

Had been feeling really tired here and there since about November of last year, just chalked it up to getting older. End part of April, I literally couldn't do shit, just bed bound for about a week with throbbing joint pain, thought I had gotten sick, it passed, went to do some yard work and was absolutely gassed after about an hour, and I had a sunburn that looked like I'd been on the beach all day with no UV protection. Really bad dry mouth and dry eyes as well, which sometimes happens after mowing, but was bed bound again for about a week.

Went to doc to see what was up, few rounds of blood tests and I have lupus overlapped with sjogren's syndrome; ANA was positive, and she said a titer of 1:80 was high, mine was 1:640, was also positive for Anti-RO or something? She had a rheumatologist on the call with her going over my blood work.

Doc started me on Plaquenil and I've been on it almost a month now and haven't noticed any changes in the fatigue, joint pain, or dryness. Going to ask doc about diet changes/vitamin protocols I've been reading about (namely the autoimmune diet). I could honestly deal with the joint pain and dryness (NSAIDs, Biotene, and artificial tears) but it's the fatigue that is just absolutely crippling; I can't do a fucking thing when it's really bad and it can stay that way for days to weeks it seems. When it's bad I sleep about 10-12 hours, could sleep more but make myself get up and walk around if I can.

Saw your post about the ANA stuff and needed to vent some. Shit sucks.

Mom thinks she has brain cancer and is rushing head first into getting surgery to get the 'tumor' removed. I've posted before how she is a surgery addict and gets surgery all the god damn time (4~ times a year?). Thing is she had a really bad brain injury in the past, with bleeding all over the brain, and the 'tumor' in question is very tiny and located exactly where some of her bleeding was.

Gonna try to convince her to get a second opinion, and have a doctor look at her past scans to see if this something new or not before she self lobotomizes, but my mom is about as unreasonable as they get when it comes to medical decisions. I'm pretty sure my mom would just be like "sounds great" and sign the dotted line for MAID if she lived in canada.

2nd wife, 2nd wife with Shingles. What a weird disease. Virus just hides out in your nerves in your back until it decides Surprise Motherfucker one day and you're in agony.

She describes it as feeling like a rat is inside her digging around. You know, if you needed some nightmare fuel

Chicken pox for old people. If you remember how much the disease sucked the first time around, you can imagine how much the second course sucks. Not looking forward to it if it's coming my way.
