I meant with the DK, /bonk not Evolve proper.
This deck is amazing
Please paste in a decklist, I can't get to that replay site.
I was never able to get jade druid to work for me before but it sure is working now. The addition of the new hero and that crazy new 10 mana spell have been huge. I think I was missing one card from Ravishings list, probably a 4/8 epic taunt dragon, so I just tossed in 1 copy of auctioneer to replace it. One interesting interaction is Frandral and the new DK hero power, and they also changed how stuff under Fandral works in general, it seems to go off as two separate effects.

It wouldn't be bullshit, but its so easy to pull off, its not a complex combo by any means. And Lyra/Cheap Spell Dude just makes it more absurd.
The Priest deck is incredible. I have played three games with it and won all three. Quest Warrior went to the end. I did not even cast the DK card due to wanting to keep my life above 8. Agro can beat the deck if I get a bad draw and they get a good one. The hunter game had a funny start. The person was playing a trap hunter variant and had the 1/1 +1 Spell damage, deathrattle draw a card legendary in it. The 3/4 that plays out the traps was played along with 2 traps. He then puts down the 1/1. Was funny taking control of the 1/1 and having his trap put it into my hand. The card was nice to have as it lead to a 3 point board clear on his side with a free draw later. The Priest deck allows for so many variables that it is a lot of fun to play, as well as being plenty powerful enough to handle many situations. I also am having pretty good success with the DK Warlock deck thanks to its new board clear card.
id have to craft raza, anduin, and lich king for that priest deck. Obviously lich king is an all purpose craft, but raza and anduin sure aren't. If a nerf happened, it would likely only be to one and not both.
I haven't played this game since whatever expansion "adept" battlecrys were introduced. How far behind on cards would I be relative to what is popular in the current meta? What kind of money am I looking to drop on packs in order to have the latest and greatest?
I'd need Velen - or have people started skipping Velen? Rest I've just dumb lucked into over my return/previous.
I don't see a nerf to the priest deck coming. Evolve shammy destroys it with the first evolve unless you have dragon potion,(possibly Kazakus) and that still depends on if doppleganster is evolved or not. While extremely powerful, there are lots of extremely powerful decks after just a few days. It took Blizz months to remove the broken rogue quest. I just don't see it being removed.
So if you raza before you change your hero power, does it stay free after it's changed?
People started skipping Velen the day the game came out.
Really? Every time I've bumped into someone doing the spam DK Priest, it's involved Velen thusfar. Guess they like pairing me up with the oddballs.
Was able to test this out when Lyra gave me a shadowform, in case anyone didn't know raza makes your hero power free whether it changes or not.
So basically Raza and the dk are now auto include in all priest decks.
Yeah, Raza sets the hero power cost to zero for the rest of the game.
There was a gimmick deck in MSoG where you killed the opponent by playing Spawn of Shadows (deal 4 to each hero inspire guy) and then hero powering however many times you needed using Garrison Commander and Sir Finley and other stuff.
Not really, most of the current dragon priest lists I've seen (which are more midrange than the highlander list and handle stuff like evolve shaman and flood decks much better) don't run either. It will be a while before the meta settles and we see which way it leans.
Don't bother wasting dust on the HL priest trash. Pirate warrior wrecks it. And once the novelty of playing 30 minute greedy matches wears out and people decide that they want rank 5 or legend, everyone will be back to playing pirate warrior.
My current cycle is: Play whatever greedy control deck (control warrior, control paladin, demon warlock DK); get raped by jade druid, HL priest x5; get on pirate warrior and wreck those same decks by turn 5 or 6; log off.
The paladin aggro deck might be worth crafting. It's pretty nuts.
So went from 0 stars rank 5 to legend in under 2 days with control paladin exclusively.
In all that time, never ran into a highlander priest, have no idea on the power level of it.
I gotta believe all of the aggro decks will rape it, though.... Probably why I never saw it.
Woulda finished legend hours ago but had a crazy loss to an infinite hand warrior where he won a 25%chance brawl 3x in a row, and if he lost any of them I had lethal... then I tilted backwards 3 more stars zzzzzz
So I hadn't seen this thread in a few days. I saw someone play dead man's hand so it reminded me the card existed. So it made me want to play control warrior. I tried playing quest warrior with it, but it's really rather pointless in that deck, you either win or you die, you never/rarely fatigue with that deck. So I was like damn, I need to play control warrior two expansions ago to make this card have value; and then it hit me, I CAN play control warrior of two expansions ago. Queue up the ol' C'thun warrior plus new elise, and new weapons with dead man's hand and now you can get 2-4 c'thuns again. This makes me very happy.
Most interesting deck I've ran into was a priest who only ran barnes, malygos, ysaarj, ysera, new 9 mana priest taunts and then the 6 mana spell that summons a random minion in your deck and the 4 mana discover and summon a minion that died this game.
It would be difficult to not want to fit the Lich King in that interesting Priest Deck. I suppose it is due to the dragons being immune to board clear when needed.
I ran into a similar priest deck at Rank 1 which didnt have Ysera but had Lich King... Also had Mountain Giants and every "copy card" they can get. Mind Vision, Thoughsteal and the new 5 mana one. As a Control Deck I should have lost but won because I had just tech'd in Skulking Geist and I destroyed like 6 of his cards. It ended up going to fatigue.
