Seconded , The Sphere is unlike anything you will see anywhere. The movie 'Post Card from Earth' is awesome! The Sphere is the shit. Even the movie they play there is worth seeing.
Thank - we booked the sphere tomorrow and we’ll definitely go to Fremont street.
Any good restaurants also ?
The electrical outfit I worked for when I first go to the area did that container park beside pawn stars. I don't watch a lot of TV (other than NFL) so I had no idea why the place was so popular. We had a meeting at the BBQ place in the container park and this bald guy comes over says he's the owner. My relatives were like 'how was he , is he cool , etc' cuz they knew who he was. I said he was another pain in the ass owner that didn't know WTF he wanted.I went last year. I did like the sphere. I saw the U2 movie even though I'm not a big U2 fan and it was excellent. That 180 degree screen or whatever you call it is super immersive and the 3D is spectacular. Freemont was a lot more gentrified than I remember it. All cleaned up now when before it was pretty sketchy. I took a side trip to pawn stars that I wouldn't recommend. It's in a run down area and the store is pretty underwhelming. It's definitely worth renting a car and touring red rock canyon or valley of fire. Hoover dam is what it is, cool landmark but I had more fun chasing the petroglyphs and rock formations. It's no wonder they film so much stuff out there. Some of those canyon trails look like you're on another planet. Very Martian feeling.
LolI agree it’s fine with your girl. One of my best memories (that still gets talked about) is my wife and I were hiking mouse trap trail in valley of fire. We get to this spot that’s just red walls on either side of the trail, nice soft sandy part of the trail. We stop for a moment and she says with a look of awe “Wow, listen to how quiet it is here, there’s no noise. This is incredible.” And I stop, listen for a second and say “Yeah, so peaceful.” Then rip the loudest, deepest fart and shatter the silence, echoing off the canyon walls. The look of horror and laughter on her face was priceless.
Hope you enjoy. Company I worked for did the Omega - Meow Wolf exhibit there. I went there for my birthday one year. It was a huge nothingburger - to me. My opinion seems to not be popular though.Lol
Yeah we did a “detour” off the main trail to go piss and was right next to a rattle snake. That would have sucked if I wasn’t paying attention.
We are doing this as well at Area 15
It opens up next week.
