Go read the cooking thread. Also, I didn't say going out for steak.
I did have a nice round 2 of filet, crab, tatters and broccoli last night. Tonight, I'm just going to be bad. Just said fuck it and ordered out Logan's. Got some tater skins, half a dozen of their tasty fucking rolls, chicken, salmon and shrimp with cheesy rice and garlic bread, and a big ass fucking brownie. Hot chocolate with some baileys and mint chocolate cookie moonshine to follow after raids tonight.

Well, all done. Officially divorced once the order shows up in the mail. Took maybe 15min. I'm keeping all my shit and the house, we just have to get it appraised and I'll buy him out his half of the value. He's got 30 days to get his name off the deed and we're all set. Feels a bit anti-climactic, but I'm just relieved it's done and over. It still really hurts losing Bruce, but I'm not sure this could have gone any more smoothly than it did and I'm satisfied with the outcome. I guess now I just have to figure out what all to do next.

Cad is probably right, but the hives might indicate hormonal issues. Is she at menopause age?
Painting, caulking, etc probably inhaled too much shit. We discovered just sealing the edges of a room etc was enough to do this to my wife who's more sensitive to that kind of thing.

Just imagine some idiots do it more than once!

Congrats though, you sound happy and that's what matters.

Some people...My aunt and uncle are much older than my mom. They had been married 35 years or so and went thrugh a mid life crisis and divorced. My aunt married an artist guy that sold shit at the beach. My uncle married someone I never met. Both were significantly younger than they were.

A year or two later they each divorcved their new mates. Then remarried each other. My aunt died but my uncle is still alive and they were still married when she died at around age 95.

I fucking lost it this afternoon. It wasn't reasonable, and I regret it. Whenever my wife takes on a project around the house it immediately turns into my project. She starts, then needs help, then disappears. This has happened a lot. Dozens of times. And I told her she was manipulating me to do what she wanted me to do regardless of my own plans for the day. It got pretty fucking heated, which is not a thing for us. Ever. Like really, ever. I just flat out refused to help her with her project because I was working on something else for the home. She told me I was being a dick. I told her not to take on projects she can't do without my help, especially if she just starts it without talking to me.

She was angry, dudes. I don't see that side of her much, and after nearly 30 years together I know her. She was fucking incensed. Not rational or making any sense.

Then, just an hour ago she developed a rash. On her whole body. Like hives everywhere. We're in the emergency room. Pray for sanity.

That's something I love about my wife. She is like yours and starts projects, and then abandons them halfway through, but she never expects me to jump in. Shes told me for a while she wants chickens (I do too, but we can't where we live at the moment), but always follows up with "I know you have to be on board too because I know I can't keep up with it on my own" (shes partially disabled). She's like this with everything, and I really do appreciate that about her.

Since we've lived here, she's wanted a large garden and I've just been "meh" about it. As of late, though, I've changed my mind as I want to start giving away fresh produce to those in my community who can't afford it, so I drew up plans for about 1600sqft of planting space that takes up about half our back yard and showed her, and she's pumped about it. It's going to be an expensive ordeal but I'm going to partner up with some local nonprofits for it who are going to help foot the bill for it with me.

She started going into all these plans she wants to do with trelleces and whatnot, none of which were a part of my plans, but that's fine. I know she will start them and not finish them and i may get to them eventually, but I have a hell of a lot of raised beds I need to start building in the mean time....and I have to figure out how I can get a dead pine tree removed thats near some power lines without it eating up the money I have to set aside for the start of this.

Anyway, sorry for the tangent. I was originally just coming in to say I know how you feel about the project stuff not being done, and I'm glad my wife doesn't expect me to step in. Hope yours is doing better man!.

Well, getting married in 6 hours. Hope I'm not being retarded again.

Seems like not. But it seemed like not 25 years ago too.

Prenup done. Asset declaration on the prenup really drives home why you should do it. That's a big fuckin number if you're established in life. Notary said she's been seeing a lot more of them recently.

She wanted an outdoor wedding. Gonna rain all day. Hope that ain't an omen. She picked the date very carefully too and got her period Thursday. Maybe I'm just gonna do all the planning from now on.

Hey, grats man. Wish you and yours many years of happiness.

I doubt its a bad omen. The only bad omen I have seen was at a friend's wedding, when they went to light their unity candles, the wind blew them out as they both reached to light it with their own. I laughed, and a year later, they divorced.

I’ve tried, they said if it falls they’ll worry about it then.

called my insurance company even, letting him know it could fall onto three different properties and damage structures and removing it would probably avoid a future claim and they said they would handle it should that time come.

it’s so dumb.

Start emailing them all the articles about fire here in California. It’s also way cheaper for them to schedule the work than have to respond to the lines getting taken down in a storm. I’m sure there’s regulations about vegetation proximity time frames they’re supposed to respond in.

I sent photos of said dead tree and even a video of the ground building as it sways in higher winds. They say it's fine and if it falls on the lines to let them know. Its crazy no one wants to spend a little money to to save a lot of money.

They did suggest I pay to remove it. I let them know I have a generator; should it knock out power here, I'm fine. They seemed annoyed to hear that, but I told them if they don't care then I'm not going to either.

In reality though, i'm gonna have to get the damn thing yanked.

Yeah it’s in my yard.

I had another at one point that was burrowing its way into my house drain pipe, it was in the portion of yard between the sidewalk and road.
I asked the city to remove it and they said they only would if it was dying otherwise I was responsible

my response was “well…I can kill a tree”

they removed in the next month. lol

Having one of them remove this one was a long shot, but I was hopeful the “a future claim would be more expensive” logic would work on this one.

No such luck.

Crank out that commercial grade woodchipper. If a few of your neighbors happen to disappear, well, it happens.

It's not the disposal I am worried about; it's getting it down without hitting the power lines on one side of it and the three different properties' privacy fences on the other.

Hire a chainsaw bandit to come in the middle of the night an cut it so it knocks out the power lines so they have to come and deal with it.

That's interesting, if you put an image inside ispoiler tags it just makes it a little fuzzy. Click on it and it will get clear. I bet it's fucked up if you're on your phone.
