Though I loved Civil War a little better than Ragnarok. And also Winter Soldier better than the first Guardians. You really think that Guardians 2 is worse than Hulk, 1st cap & iron man 2? Ugh. It's almost as good as the first GotG, IMHO.

It's how we all value the movies. GoTG 2 for me is really dragged out and lacked any real connection to GoTG2, which is why i value IW, so much the GoTG in IW were like the GoTG1. If it wasn't for IW, i would have ranked GoTG2 higher, however theres such a difference in how good the GotG were in IW, that i ranked GoTG2 lower.

It's like how i value Cap1 as, bleh, "good" as a time period movie, and i give it weight as one of the most important and difficult "origin" movies, whereas Cap2 and Cap3, wow.

When Iron Man 3 came out I hated it, but on further views it is very good. Also congrats to the Thor franchise for really turning it around.

Infinity War is super awesome, but I ranked it lower because I liked how different the other movies were. Ant Man is a heist movie, Winter Soldier is a spy movie, etc etc. At its core, Infinity War is 'the Avengers team up to beat up the big bad guy'. GotG1 is the same, but it has the soundtrack and comedy to put it higher. The variance in most of these movies is very low though. If GotG1 is a 10.0 in my mind, Infinity war is a 9.75. The real drop off in quality comes below Captain America 1.

Isn't Big hero 6 technically a Marvel movie? Not that I would expect them to ever show up in any live action stuff, but Marvel does have a pool of lesser characters to introduce if they so wish.

Technically, yes. Big Hero 6 *IS* a Marvel movie. It's a Marvel comic that was animated.

It is not, however, a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So it doesn't apply to the list any more than Ben Affleck as Daredevil does.

Thor 1 and 2 and cap 1 get a lot of flack but I think we mostly liked them at the time... destroyer obviously was pretty wasted and maleketh was one dimensional, sure. I think those movies being rated lower isn't that they were trash, it's that the mcu has matured so greatly that outside of the wow factor, phase 1 movies just aren't as good as phase 3 movies

If you sort of break down the movie into it's parts it seems like it has all the components to be quite good, but the sum of the parts didn't really work out that way. It ended up feeling relatively bland. All that said even the worst MCU movies are still decent/pretty good movies. The floor level on these has been incredibly high even IM2 isn't Spiderman3 or F4 bad.

Captain America 1 is a great movie, I don't know why people rate it low.

It's basically the same movie as Wonder Women but executed better throughout and a much better ending.
