Yes, personal threads in the Shaw are fine. Its the very least people can do to ignore someone is to not visit their shit hovel in the shaw.

Just because a vote goes one way does not make that the common sense.

Just look at the mods that all ran on "common sense" and "loose moderation" yet we have Tanoomba in RRP without a single warning given.

The rickshaw is a cesspool and should be treated as such. We went mostly hands off there (no CP, among other things) and let it grow organically with the population of users there being the fertilizer.

That said I voted 'no' to be difficult.

It'd just be adding another layer of separation. If threads are not intended to be shit, they shouldn't be in the rickshaw. Shit threads for shit posters. If someone wants to make a shit thread after themselves, why stop them? If they want to shit post in someone else's shit thread, why stop them? If someone else wants to shit post in their personal shit thread, why stop them? These are the 3 shit pillars of the shaw

I happen to think Khalid's action was wrong. Tanoomba should have gotten a warning first instead of Khalid's "oh, we know you'd keep it up so I just fast forwarded!" That was bad moderation. This was a fresh start so despite Tanoomba's history he should have been given the same process as anyone else.

The second warning could have very well been on Tanoomba's next post (and third on the one after that), but the rules should still have been followed.

So Tanoomba gets a warning. Maybe he stops right then, maybe he doesn't.

Say he does.

He stops today. Comes back tomorrow morning, restarts the same stupid debate in the same thread at 10 o'clock in the morning, keeps it up for another 3 days, gets another warning, disappears for the rest of the day, comes back the next day, does it again.

When does it end, exactly, Dick?

You may not care, but enough people care that they're throwing a huge shit fit here over one or two threads, some of them that went dormant on the old site by the way for years (Looking at you there Picasso), when one or two of them get locked to shut down a serial shit poster in the midst of a mental breakdown.

You can set a time on the warnings, right? I didn't think they were hard set at 3 days. Even so. That means he gets one high quality shitpost in once a day. Problem solved?
