I'm not worried about the cost of a child moreso the loss of income from my wife not working.
See, that's why I'm happy to live in Socialist Germany. Wife got 8 weeks before and 6 weeks after (or the other way around, I always fuck that up) paid in full, and 12 months of ~66% of the net salary averaged over the past 12 months.Elterngeld - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

She's working four days a week now and daycare for three days runs 230 Eurobucks per MONTH. One day the kid is with grandma, free daycare. Plus we get 184 Euros from the state.Child benefit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fuck yeah.

In roughly two weeks I should know if we were successful in production version 2.0 ...

That's a pretty good deal.. on the plus side I could quit my job and go on Welfare and food stamps like the rest of America.

We had a friend dump a lot of clothes on us for our first, and it was awesome! The funny thing is, you can tell what how old the kid was, and what season it was. Had tons of winter clothes that were newborn, and our son was in 6 months by the time winter rolled around. haha!

We had our first positive pregnancy test on Aug 27, and we estimated that my wife should be about 7 weeks pregnant now. She had cramps and some bleeding, so we went to the doctor's and got an ultrasound, and they saw a gestational sac measuring about 5 weeks. It's possible that the baby is 2 weeks younger than we thought since my wife was irregular to begin with, but it's still pretty stressful. We have an appointment in 3 weeks when we should definitely see a heartbeat, so I'm hoping that we weren't seeing signs of a miscarriage. The waiting is killing me though, and there's really nothing to be done except wait and see, since a 7 week miscarriage can look the same as a 5 week healthy baby.

My wife is really irregular and also had slight bleeding around the same time frame as you are saying. She had a lot of cramps which is what prompted us to get her to the doctor. Seems like all the rerolled bros are gonna be dads in the same month!!

My wife had a miscarriage around that time; you would have known if you went to the doctor and they drew blood. Some hormone spikes or something and it can be detected that way. If they are saying you are OK, I'm sure you are.

Had another ultrasound this morning. Heart rate is at 179 now. Can see that it's starting to develop little nubby arms and legs. lol
Fuck I hope this is the One. I honestly don't think my wife could handle another miscarriage.

haha I don't give a fuck where it's from as long as it comes out healthy. Boy, girl, shemale. At this point I'll be happy as long as it comes out screaming.

At this point we've been at it for 8 years. We started with 4 IUI's and donor sperm while we lived in Houston 8 years because they're backwater inbreds that don't believe in covering IVF because it's against God or some shit. We've paid out of pocket less for this IVF/PGD treatment that is far more expensive than what we had to pay in Houston for the IUI's and sperm. It's so backwards.

Then I'm pulling for you.. didn't realize it was that rough. All I had to do was fuck and listen to my wife bitch about it not working yet.

I listen to metal (death, black, 80's, etc) and my wife listens to Soundtrack Original Scores. My kid is doomed.\m/ \m/ \m/

I have the Tool Rockabye Baby, it is strangely mesmerizing and very well done. We still listen to the real thing more often than not though.

This sounds creepy as hell. Certain to give your kid nightmares of demonic teddy bears.

After listening to a few songs it is definitely an outstanding album. Although kind of bummed there's no 46 and 2 cover.
