It looks like a pitch black 2 to me. not a sequel to the events of Chronicles.

Sounds more like the necros try to get rid of him and it doesn't quite work out.

I'm hoping for a cameo by Johns. Either half.

Looks good to me. I'm glad it's closer to Pitch Black than Chronicles at least. Going back to his roots is a good call.

I'd bet Vaako is only in it for a little bit. Probably helping Riddick get away from all the Necromonger stuff. I don't see Riddick as a person that would want all of that in the first place.

I also don't think Johns is coming back, a relative hunting Riddick is a lot more probable.
