The hoohah over Chelsea is getting fucking stupid now. "Worst start for 10 years!" they have 7 points out of 12. Most seasons Mr Wenger would kill for that start to the campaign

If they lose at home at the weekend in the league to Fulham and Jose loses his 4 year unbeaten run then perhaps it might be time to wonder aloud.

It's more ignorant than dumb since Napoli have been on the rise for the last couple of seasons and did a great job of reinvesting the money they made from selling their best player. Arguably better than Spurs have done. While Dortmand would be favorites ahead of the match, it's not a huge upset or surprise that Napoli won at home given the way the match played out. Copengagen drawing with Juventus is far more surprising, even maybe even Arsenal winning away at Marseille.

Nah, Mourinho won't get sacked this season. He normally takes 2 seasons to build a championship dominating team like he did with Real and Inter.

Not even Abramovich is that short sighted. (famous last words...)

Did people forget that Dortmund had both their goalkeeper and manager sent off?

Losing 2-1 is one of the best scenarios they could ask for.

Napoli have a very good team in their own right as Faille is noting. I wouldn't be surprised to see them give Juve a run for their money for the Seria A crown.

One more game until Suarez returns, fully expect him to come out raring to go against ManU during the week.

Its not that they won, itshowthey won. They bossed the match from start to finish (though BVB turned it on towards the end) - something I don't think anyone was expecting. Dortmund still have a really strong side even without Gotze, and Napoli have enforced really well, but lost arguably the best out and out striker in Europe. Again, its not that they won, its that they absolute dominated one of the best sides in the world.

Napoli is a good side, but all they've done is win a home game - practically a requirement to advance in the toughest group in CL this season. Arsenal winning at Marseille is the least surprising result from the week (not named Basel/CFC) - Arsenal don't lose often to French sides.

Mata not on the team sheet for Chelsea today. What the fuck is Jose playing at here? Mata is one of the best in the world....

LFC/SHampton was pretty poor - Pool had no creativity to their play, and Gerrard was awful in the 2nd half. His free kicks though have been brilliant, but both gk's were on their game.

Everton.... great composure to come back twice - like the look of them this season. Love Baines.

Sunderland getting raped again - surely that seat under Di Canio is going to start getting pretty warm.

They also hired a CL winning Manager over the summer too.

Ignorant, dumb, call it what you like.

There is something seriously wrong between Mata and Mourinho.

Here is probably Chelsea's best player for the past couple of seasons. Oozing with creativity and assists but Mourinho couldn't even afford him a place on the bench. Mourinho obviously prefers Oscar than Mata in his team but many people are accurately suggesting that Mata is the better player of the two.

Can definitely see him being sold off in the next transfer window. Can't see his destination being Man Utd though even though he would be a perfect fit for them.

Crisis? What crisis?

2-0 Chelsea win. Joint top of the league. Oscar justifies his selection over Mata with a goal. Even Mikel scored a goal.

I guess that's why Mourinho is being paid millions to manage Chelsea rather than me

Shitty way to start a weekend, get up at 7am and being subject to the performance LFC just put in. Abject, poor, and disgraceful would be the best that could be said about the game. Rodgers has done a lot of good over the past year but I think he got it all wrong today as a home game at Southampton is not the game to limit yourself offensively with 4 CB's starting. By the time this was switched the game was well past being salvagable as Southampton was comfortable just absorbing any pressure sans the one Sterling chance that he fucked up horribly.

Really concerned with Gerrard and Lucas as a base of the midfield in going forward, they are being increasingly bypassed or just plain not tracking runs which is causing unneccassary issues for the defense.

Still seems really bizarre though - Oscar did warrant his place, but I can't believe Jose can't make room for both of them. Mata is the closest thing Chelsea have to "world class" - in a WC year, there is no doubt that Mata isn't going to take well to how he's been handled. He would fit REALLY well at PSG - maybe something comes of it in January.

Yeah, pretty woeful performance and we never once looked like creating any decent chances. Obviously should have had a penalty which might have changed things, but didn't deserve to win or even draw the match.
Luckily we get a bit more creativity back this week.

Suarez returning from suspension will provide a bit more bite to the Liverpool attack

I'm sure he can't wait to dive back into competitive games. He should be fit and rested and like the rest of the squad he will get most midweeks off!

Yeah, before anyone says it, a draw against the yorky bastards was a shit result for Forest yesterday >.< Harry has had a good start in the Championship, unbeaten and 3 clear at the top after 8 games!

Interesting response from Di Canio yesterday. I suspect he'll survive this poor start for a while, especially considering how much backing the board gave him in the summer but he could be in trouble in another 6 weeks or so.

RVP out of the derby today... his pussy must be sprained again.

Arsenal played like dog-shit, but beat Stoke (who look a totally different side this season - liked some of their link play). ?zil has played 2 league games, and is top of the league in assists. Great start to the season for the Arse - Ramsey scores again. Really pleased for him - thought he was absolutely terrible last season, but he's playing out of his mind this season.

In the words of Mclemore - "This is fucking awesome". Ashley Young is an awful footballer.
