If they embrace the lunacy that was the cartoon show this might not be bad.

That heist scene was filmed in Buffalo. Used to drive that corridor all the time on the way into work.

I thought Meh

My Nephew shit his pants with excitement.

We old fucks need to understand that even though this is our childhood show, this movie isnt for us.

Gonna make tons of kid money.

You know, if they released this trailer and never released 2014 TMNT, we all would have said this is a good TMNT reboot. The turtles still look super fucked up, wth? But Bebop and Rocksteady look like they came out of the friggin cartoon, actually pretty great. And who knows if that's all they're showing, they're hinting at lots of possibilities, like Baxter fly and Krang, if they actually have a technodrome, or they show it in the next trailer, and it looks like the cartoon...

I might forgive Michael Bay for Transformers.

Forgiveness is between him and god, it's your job not to give him money to do hookers and blow for 20 years until the meeting.

This passes my bar of watching any movie that features Run DMC in the trailer.

All in.

12 year old me would like this for sure. 2015 me says, "Oh, Michael Bay huh? NOPE."

Is it me, or do Bebop and Rocksteady just not look quite right? Mostly with how they move. I get that it's early and the effects aren't polished and all, but they just seemed kind of jerky/poorly animated in that trailer. Plus they should be bigger. If turtles are X size (which is also too big IMO, should be 25% smaller than they are), then Bebop and Rocksteady should be X times 1.5-2.

All of that said, I'd rather have them going this direction with crazy lunacy like in the old cartoon show, than any sort of "realism" or whatever.

The only positive thing I can say about the first one (watched on Netflix) is that it was not as bad as the Transformer movie with Marky Mark which I also watched on Netflix. Like Lighting Lord said the younger me would have been excited and I know if I showed this trailer to my 4 and 6 year old they would be bouncing off the walls.

Hey, when I was little I remember begging my grandfather to take me to see the 3rd Turtles movie where they went back in time. I feel sorry for having subjected my grandfather to that now ;( That and the Police Academy movies.

I would have been all over this at that age, though.

I will never be too old for a rhino on a motorcycle, and Warthog on a trike.

I might be the minority but I kinda liked the first one. It wasn't great by any means but I enjoyed it.

I'll probably end up watching this whenever it comes out on Netflix/DVD. But I do like that they seem to have jumped straight to fuck it mode with surprisingly true to the cartoon Rocksteady and Bepop, Casey Jones, Shredder, full blown foot ninjas, fucking turtle van, maybe even Krang with all the weirdo alien shit at the beginning.

Megan Fox makes this unwatchable for me. The rest of the movie looks decent, but they focus too much on her and try to make her come off as some bad ass.

what?
TMNT comic came out in 1984. Comic and cartoon have little in common really.
TMNT cartoon came out in 1987. Bebop and Rocksteady were created for the cartoon to have more toys.
TMNT vidya. the NES game was 1989. popular due to brand but admittedly shit.
1989 for "TMNT the Arcade game" which was awesome. ok, NES version.
TMNT:Turtles in Time was 1991. SNES 1992. Not playing one of these is a travesty.

When you say, "too old" the hell does that even mean? you play games right? you are here.. you were too crusty to play games or watch cartoons back in 1984-1995, but are in a video game forum in 2015? wha?

I watch gravity falls, Star vs the forces of evil, Steven Universe, etc now..hahaha.

But yes, Bebop is a warthog, and Rocksteady is a Rhino.

This looks ridiculous. But should appease the child in me that grew up on it. I should get around to watching the first film someday when I am drunk...

maybe.
