I've only eaten at GC a handful of times and it was always for work lunches. True facts we got a Nigerian exchange student hired on as an intern where I worked. Our very first day we took him to GC. Dude was taking pictures left and right of the buffet to send back to his home town rofl.

That is both funny and sad.

Overwhelmed by the taste of freedom.

Is this even fair??? I thought this site was supposed to give out targetted ads based on Google searches or whatnot. I'd say this is some kind of superliminal advertising just from reading you guys post about the GC...

That meatloaf looks like a giant turd that opened up your colon so there is a healthy layer of blood on it

Old Country Buffet is leagues above Golden Corral. Don't even try to compare the two. Old Country Buffet doesn't do all that gimmicky shit with the cotton candy machines and chocolate fountains and whatnot. Old Country Buffet takes buffet-style eating seriously and the food borders on delicious in many cases.

True story - when I moved to this town, it was the first time ever that I lived somewhere that had an Old Country Buffet. The first week I was here, the o r and y were burned out. It's right next to a hardware store, and I was going to that store multiple times a day, seeing the Old Cunt Buffet.
I have an overhead feed bin that says "Cow Country" on the side and the day it showed up the O was already scraped off so it says "Cow Cuntry". I have always wondered if some wise ass scraped it off while they were at a gas station or something.

It was me. After eating at the Old Cunt Buffet.

Wasn't there a South Park episode vaguely like this? Starvin marvin, the Ethiopian kid came and Cartman was fatassing it up at a buffet telling him how "we" eat appetisers to make ourselves more hungry. Then wasting a ton of food away while gorging on everything.

*Edit* God damn.. Season 1 memory!

I love Old Country Buffet. I go with my dad occasionally for lunch(he loves the place). Anytime we go there, I'm the youngest person in there by at least 30 years(and I'm damn near 40). Makes me feel all young and nubile.

Fun fact, Golden Corral used to be a Sizzler clone instead of the feeding trough it is now. Used to have one here in Sacramento back when I was in high school and we'd go to it fairly often. I was shocked the first time I saw the new ones.

Haven't eaten at a GC in eons, probably the early 90's. I remember their breakfast buffet being acceptable, better then Shoney's (but that's not saying much). Pizza Ranch on the other hand might be worth a trip if I ever go far enough west to see one, because who doesn't need pizza and fried chicken at the same time:

Within a 1 mile radius of my office is an Old Country Buffet, a Golden Corral, a Pizza Ranch, a BDs Mongolian BBQ buffet and 3 seperate chinese buffets(one that is half mexican food). So many buffets, so little time.

Buffets are absolutely disgusting. But every once in a while there's nothing I want more. We don't have many around here. On the cheaper end there's some Indian ones which are delicious. Then there's the strip club buffet. But the best thing ever is a Brazilian steakhouse. It's not cheap, but it's the most glorious place you'll ever visit. All you can eat high quality meats. So fucking good. Oh, they have a salad bar too. But that's a waste of valuable stomach space.

Guess I'm lucky, if I ever do want a buffet(very rare since its I can't eat enough to be worth it) there are so many here in Vegas, with every casino having one plus ones dotted all over town. The casino ones are thankfully good(with a few exceptions from the more minor casinos). Especially for sea food(I love crab legs).

Never had to eat at a golden corral or Old country, no clue if those even exist here.
