That sounds terrible. I'm guessing if it's a small town, the drive to another town with actual good places to eat isn't very far?My town is so shitty that our only "real" restaurant is a goddamn Chilis. It's a real small town though.
I went to Vegas near when I turned 21 so about 9 years ago and these cheap buffets were non-existant even then. I don't know if they existed in the 80s/90s or if it is just a pop culture thing to say they exist. What ever happened to good, cheap Vegas casino buffets? I blame all the goddamn celebrity chefs opening expensive restaurants, casinos figured out they could still do almost as much business selling dinner buffets for $35 a pop as $10 a pop. The good buffets out there are expensive as hell anymore.
Wife and I went to the one in Tyson's Corner for an anniversary. We ate so much we didn't even have sex that night. Would do again. There's a Brazilian steakhouse called Chima in Ft Lauderdale(I think there are other locations as well). They are awesome. You leave with a terrible case of meat-sweats, but it's worth it.
The towns surrounding us are fairly shitty and one has a high crime rate. That sounds terrible. I'm guessing if it's a small town, the drive to another town with actual good places to eat isn't very far?
They definitely existed, but it is probably closer to 20 years ago that it was true. At one point I want to say they were closer to $5 at some of the bigger casinos, because they just wanted you in the building, they didn't care about making money on the food so much. First time I went to Vegas was almost 25 years ago though, so take that into consideration. Most of the casinos that existed then have been torn down and redone by now.I went to Vegas near when I turned 21 so about 9 years ago and these cheap buffets were non-existant even then. You have a penchant for understatement, sir.Gary, Indiana is not known for their world-class seafood
