Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines sequel? Remake?

I think the most likely reason is pretty simple, they bit off more than they can chew, especially as their first game of this scope. To try and get it on some type of schedule they have to cut content, and guessing the two fired were unwilling or unable to make it happen. Guessing it was more unwilling, as they cited 'creative differences', so possible Mitsoda was resistant to the cuts management wanted.

Not surprised, apparently she was gone in September, so like a month after Mitsoda, they just didn't make any kind of announcement. Sucks to see how this is going, as WoD is one of my favorite IPs, but Paradox has likely fumbled a great chance to grow the brand. Who would have thought that handing the game over to a virtually unknown studio, whose one game was a free to play online shooter, would end up being a bad idea.

No probably about it. She was part of why RPS is a shit site now, worked for Kotaku, wrote a big chunk of Dishonored 2 which was garbage compared to the first game's story, and she took a job writing VTM:B2 even though she apparently hated the first game.

This is way too late for any hope of saving this game though. For one, Paradox is full of SJWs too, so they won't just throw what she wrote in the trash where it belongs. Plus they already ripped out Avallone's stuff after the bullshit witch hunt that happened to him (and iirc this dumbfuck was the major force behind having them remove his work too). They'll just polish this turd as much as they can and ship it to recoup whatever money they can from retards too stupid to see what happened to their beloved IP.

This is just them making the most faithful sequel they can guys. Over budget, barely functional, forced out to a released date in a cobbled together state.

Hopefully by 2025 the fan patches will make it playable just like the original!
