Had a task to do at work but was scheduled a split shift, meaning menial desk duty and it wouldn't be until after lunch that I would get to my job description.
Already miffed that I'm not being effectively utilized, I'm sent upstairs to help out the other crew because they're behind. Head upstairs and they're just shooting the shit in the manager's office. Not talking strategy or anything else legitimate. I grumble, suck it in and get to work. For two hours they don't leave the office, 3 women squawking.
Then one finally realizes and asks me in a valley girl voice far too young for her age, "Uh, aren't you scheduled to work downstairs?"
Grinded my gears for a bit it did. Same person that keeps setting me up to fail.
I gave her a one-two punch of "They sent me upstairs to help." and "Thanks for checking."

Watching the lottery dream home thing the other night. They had a dude who had won 1 million on a scratch off so he and his wife wanted to own their first home. Requirements were more than 2 bedrooms and a second bathroom. I laughed. Clearly some poor trash here. Then the budget. $660,000. What the fuck? I expected the show to do a record scratch WTF take on that. But nope, they just smiled showed them overpriced homes they only think they can afford.
WTF#1 $660k for a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom? I know the housing market is high in some places, but for fucks sake it can't be that bad anywhere. They even mentioned that they were moving OUT of a high priced area to find affordable houses. No, that shit aint affordable by any standard. They were looking at like 2k sqft houses with no land. Is it that bad in arizona?
WTF#2 That must have been the entire jackpot after taxes. How the fuck are they going to afford this house once they buy it? These people are first time home owners, they don't know what they're in for. The guy was in construction and the woman was a teacher. They didn't say it outright, but I got the impression the guy had quit. He was asked about a fixer upper and said "No I don't wanna do that kind of work anymore". I wouldn't be surprised if he took a shit in his bosses lunchbox as he left. It was borderline malfeasance to let those people spend that much on a house. They should have given them some counselling.

When I rented an apt over the years, I spent literally 2 minutes, to pick up trash/litter outside the house almost daily, since I lived on a main street there was always litter. It wasn't my house, but I lived there. Simple things like taking care of the common hallway and shit I would sometimes do also. I lived there.
I went to the supermarket in the sketchy part of town, and was just amazed people were just chillin' in what would take a whole 5 minutes to cleanup the whole street of litter and trash.
Anyway...a trash can was knocked over and people just walked by it. I drove by it and didn't stop also. I was on my way back from the store, and pulled over this time, and righted the trash can, and picked up the bit of trash that had fallen out. Two dudes were looking at me like "what the fuck you doing that for?" Went in the glove box, and got the wipes to clean my hands. Got out the car to throw the used wipes in the trash, and just said to dudes "You live here." and got back in my car.
Pet peeve or rustle worthy?

It rustles my jimmies that people throw shit out of their car windows that could easily be kept in the car until they reach the destination. 9 times out of 10 there will be a trash can nearby when they get there.
