Maybe its because ive watched so much in the past week, but seeing a good portion of the people in this country want to change and destroy everything good about it has it me at a complete loss for words. Why have I worked so hard all my life, why do I try to be a productive member of society and pay taxes so that I can buy nice things when I could have just gone out in the past week and stolen whatever I want instead and no one would care.
Its honestly a bit depressing to see this all happening in real time.

Ask them for a report or letter to show. Write "tag stolen DATE reported DATE case NUMBER" on a square card stock and stick it in your rear window or plate location.

Take unmitigated joy in your success. You don't have to sit in a shit apartment somewhere surrounded by shit neighbors. You don't have to wait for a SNAP card before you go grocery shopping. You don't have to wait until an act of god happens before you can get new clothes. Nice vehicle or two or three? Nice house in a good neighborhood with good schools? Money in the bank? A retirement? Financial freedom to do whatever the fuck you want to do? That's what you have because you got off your ass and earned it.
Those looters have none of that and never will. They sit in crappy apartments with bad or no AC. To most of them, the most exciting vacation they will ever have has penitentiary somewhere in the name. Their goals in life are limited to owning rimz for the Nissan they paid too much for because they have bad credit, an Xbox, Nike shoes, and whatver pointless consumer dross like a low end TV. They spend their days building up street cred while you spend your days building up a retirement.
Eventually, this shit will return to normal. Looters and rioters will go back to having nothing and being nothing for the rest of their lives. I don't know about you, but knowing these people live in squalor of their own making gives me great joy. I revel in my schadenfreude, and so should every well off person.

I want to believe is this is true. Maybe it's because I now have a kid en route and live in shit ass Cali for the next 9 months but I had a real moment of despair the other day that this is the fall of Rome. It felt especially odd because I don't usually overreact and am not a real emotional person anyway.

A few weeks ago I order a Red Dot, this was in the middle of Corona, not in the present environment.
Two days or so ago it arrived and I go to pick it up, and install it yesterday.
Early Today I go out to the range with my Father-in-Law, he is the range director, and this gun range has been in existence since 1945, and is part of an established club, with a big well maintained building next to it. Everyone from the area knows its there.
So regardless of this present situation we would be out there anyway, but really all the more reason to be out there now.
My Father-in-Law is an expert with guns, and he's been teaching people for 30 something years, I on the other hand am somewhat of a novice.
So he's working on Sighting the Red dot in, and we finish at the 25, and move back to the 100, making a few adjustments. I take over and start plinking a steel plate we set up.
A car drives down one of the roads that leads to the range, and pulls up next to us.
Italian looking guy covered in tattoos from the neck down yells to us "Is that legal?". Thinking that he's asking about the gun itself I reply yes. But apparently that's not what he's asking. He wants to know if its legal to shoot where we are shooting...a gun range. We obviously reply yes, and he starts into a speel about how kids could be out there (this is near a commercial gravel pit, there are no residential properties in this area)... so I'm now standing up mostly confused, with rifle in hand, (not aimed at him obviously). And he says "If you'd like we can play tag in the woods some time."
What?
Did this Einstein just threaten us while we're literally sighting in a rifle?
Fucker just drives off. Fucking degenerates coming up in droves from the city.
