I stayed in a fancy-ass hotel like this. Someone else was paying. Something like $500 a night.

No fucking door between the shitter and the bed. Oh I mean it had like a half length frosted glass thing, but I said a Door.

It was bad enough when they stopped putting exhaust fans in hotel bathrooms. What in the actual fuck, that is a fixture as mandatory as the toilet and the sink. Now they're getting rid of the door too. Scuse me baby, I'm just gonna take a shit right here next to you. Sexy!

During COVID, one of my friends got deep into rv/camper shopping. One day he sent me link to camper trailer that sleeps 4 and cost over $100k. Was looking at the pics and asked "no bathroom?" He said it has a toilet it's under the table. The "dining table" flipped up and there was the toilet. With the table up, guess person in bed couldn't see you but literally shitting where you eat.
Seemed like the nastiest option ever.

Just think about it. Your pants won't get shit or dirt on them. You're elevated so you don't have to worry about most predators. You can easily adjust your knee height for optimum rectal flowthrough. The harness will spread your cheeks for a cleaner shit. It's fucking genius.

Also, I'm scared of heights so it would scare the shit out of me if I ever tried it.

I used to be like "Eww that's so nasty and lazy" then I realized, 1) that's when they have their "real hair" out - and 2) keep it on...please...please

So it still is nasty and lazy, but it is better than when they do not have their caps on covering it.

made an oil change appointment at 2:15PM today because they require one.

At 2:45PM I asked what time my 2:15PM appointment was

They got done around 4.

Good thing is I finally managed to make my wife realize it's ok NOT to go to the dealership.

The last few years is been taking mine to get changed. I noticed it'd drip oil a bit, not a huge deal, i just put cardboard under that spot till it stopped. Eventually I got pissed about it so I picked up some ramps etc etc. Got under there and realized they had been adding washers to the oil plug each time. Maybe not every time but certainly not the right type. So I removed them and replaced it with the correct washer after changing the oil and voila! No drip. Still pisses me of thinking about it.

At one point in my life I actually thought about going to a trade school and getting a dual diesel and gas mechanics training. Like ASE but I don't recall if it was that school specifically. Met with a recruiter and everything. Then I realized I HATE being greasy. Like I'm skeeved out even looking at an oiled up woman or such. Dirt , no biggie but grease ----barf.

I then made sure to work and make enough money that I never ever had to change my own oil. What my wife doesn't understand is her car is way out of warranty and it doesn't NEED to go to the dealer to get an oil and filter change. I did manage to convince her of that.

Also since I originally posted I noticed this. The dealer gives you a checklist with the service that clearly states all 4 brakes are in good condition which also further has a green marking. On the next page it recommends changing all 4 brakes. WTF would I do that if they are fine?

EVs are not for everyone, but I hated changing oil so much that it was one of my primary motivators for snagging one. Just one less thing for me to worry about, that and getting shot at a gas station.

Unrelated and happened today:

I HATE Fed-Ex. I'm usually good about asking who the shipper is before making my impulse buy. I made sure the daughter was home today, package needed an adult signature. (It's a big electric skateboard, not booze). To me adult is 18+, but nope, 21+. It was rejected today.

Look up the door tag number, the website says it was delivered...yesterday, Call the number, can't get a human to talk to me, the AI says it was delivered yesterday, do you want to open a case#? *hangs up*

No worries, I can just pick it up, right? Nope, it's not the right 'facility' here, delivery only.

I had to use REDDIT to find the only way to talk to a human (and of course it's in India). Do they just expect people to take a day off work for a stupid package? What a shit company.

(The only way to talk to a barely-understandable human is to "Dial 800-463-3339 for customer service. After you hear the automated voice, say "main menu," then say "technical assistance," then say "more options," then say "something else."", in case anyone else needs this lol)

Idk if its Samsung, android, or Google but fucking android auto has become aids lately and I blame AI.

Used to be i could do what I needed while driving by either tapping the search bar in Google map or saying "hey google" followed by a search term such as "movie theater" "fast food near me" "post office" etc and it would pull up the results in Google maps and give me the option to choose from a list or after a few seconds automatically start navigating to the first search result.

Now all I get is the stupid lady voice saying "sorry I did not understand" and i have to use fucking keywords. Even though i am searching in google fucking maps using google maps search feature, the search function is now actually fucking AI assisted and its searching my phone, not maps. If I am not careful a voice command can accidentally open a completely different app if my search term is close to the name of the app. I found that out when I said "hey Google, McDonald's" and the lady said "sorry, I cannot access the McDonald's app from this interface" like wtf??

So now i have to use keywords, such as "directions to taco bell" or "show me the route to my home". If I dont know a specific destination, I can no longer use "_____ near me" I have to specify Google maps. Such that the full command is now:
" hey Google, Google maps, search for restaurants near me"

And google maps will then say "opening google maps, there are 48 restaurants near me, navigate to x?"

I keep hearing that "soon" they're going to fully replace android assistant with Gemini. But so far it's only the phone assistant, and not into Android Auto yet. They're probably trying to figure out a way to lock it behind a subscription somewhere.
