Yes, a fellow QQ user, it's never out of style! I had those on my license plate before it was banned (for the non QQ part)

But in all seriousness, aren't like 95% of the new cars sold there EV?
Yes. Because no taxation on EVs, like Norway - and we tax ICE heavy now. The only 2 countries in europe doing this dumb experiment.
Elections coming up in 10d time, and we expect to be screwed over yet again by new road, weight and inner city taxing schemes for EVs too. It's like our politicians want us to ride a bike or the bus 100s of clicks every day. Silly.

FIL is too young to be this stupid. Almost early on set like angry dementia. Having issues with road raging about nothing thinking people are out to fuck w/ him just because they are in his way.

Wife admits earlier this year he fell for a cold call investing scam, lost $500 where they gave him an app claiming he'd like doubled his money, was getting ready to put more into it. Basically has ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) so when his wife/daughters telling him he's a retard he has to double down. Shit was so sketch like he'd constantly get locked out and have to call them. I'm shocked it didnt get to the point of somehow also just straight ganking money out of his accounts.

Currently plan is if he croaks we moving the mom in. She's mostly with it, just herself was a Q tard and believes a bunch of really zany conspiracy theories like we are secretly still on the gold standard etc.
Maaan this must work all the time, my step dad fell for the your computer has a virus scam… like how? Lucky his is so offline he didn’t have a zelle or cashapp etc so they couldn’t empty his bank account. They did get all his passwords and who knows what else he wouldn’t admit to after I told him he fucked up. Only answered the phone because I thought someone died as he never calls me.

I feel that, I'm against taxing to remove choice (Gas car tax, soda tax), sorry you have to deal with that. In my state, it'll cost me 500$ to register my 2 EVs for a year, on top of the ludicrous Property Tax for cars (probably 2500 total for both).

But I won't switch back to gas.

Gas cost in Norway is based in liters, but going from our currency to USD and for a gallon it is now around $11. The current socialist govt is "talking about" perhaps lowering the taxes (which are stupid high) on gas temporarily since the cost has gone up around 1-2 dollars in the past week.

Some of the cost of gas per $11 gallon = $1,426 "road tax". $1,438 "CO2 tax". Then of course a 25% VAT on top of everything.

Combined, a quick google search lists that around 60%ish of the cost of gas is extra taxation here. Sounds about right for the around 12-15th ish most oil producing nation in the world (Nr 1 in Europe)
Hahahahahaha.

For me I think 90% of the reason I can't switch back is transmissions. I have one of my law partners GLE63 AMG in my driveway as he is out of the country, and I drove it a few times. It's fast, very cool interior, great build quality. But the transmission is so jerky its insane... want to squirt by someone? Give it 3/4 throttle and it jerks the whole car downshifting then jerks the car again when it finds boost and surges forward. Like least elegant thing ever. In my M3P I'd silently be 1/4 mile ahead of them at 1/3rd throttle and never felt more than the 0.2g acceleration forward.

The smooth as glass instantly available torque is like fucking crack, and no gas car replaces it.
