Yes. Because no taxation on EVs, like Norway - and we tax ICE heavy now. The only 2 countries in europe doing this dumb experiment.
Elections coming up in 10d time, and we expect to be screwed over yet again by new road, weight and inner city taxing schemes for EVs too. It's like our politicians want us to ride a bike or the bus 100s of clicks every day. Silly.

Maaan this must work all the time, my step dad fell for the your computer has a virus scam… like how? Lucky his is so offline he didn’t have a zelle or cashapp etc so they couldn’t empty his bank account. They did get all his passwords and who knows what else he wouldn’t admit to after I told him he fucked up. Only answered the phone because I thought someone died as he never calls me.

I feel that, I'm against taxing to remove choice (Gas car tax, soda tax), sorry you have to deal with that. In my state, it'll cost me 500$ to register my 2 EVs for a year, on top of the ludicrous Property Tax for cars (probably 2500 total for both).

But I won't switch back to gas.

long story short, over year ago, went to see foot doctor, he didn't seem to know what was causing my issue. he was rushed and i didn't like him. still have the issue, but been living with it. messaged my pcp, wanted to see a different doctor about it.
couple days later, get a call from the same doctor's office with a new appointment.

For me I think 90% of the reason I can't switch back is transmissions. I have one of my law partners GLE63 AMG in my driveway as he is out of the country, and I drove it a few times. It's fast, very cool interior, great build quality. But the transmission is so jerky its insane... want to squirt by someone? Give it 3/4 throttle and it jerks the whole car downshifting then jerks the car again when it finds boost and surges forward. Like least elegant thing ever. In my M3P I'd silently be 1/4 mile ahead of them at 1/3rd throttle and never felt more than the 0.2g acceleration forward.

The smooth as glass instantly available torque is like fucking crack, and no gas car replaces it.

Fuck Microsoft. I know that everyone knows this already, but this is even more fucking stupid. And I just recently complained about even trying to log into a Microsoft account too.

Part of the rustle is just having to help people with computer shit, but let's ignore that. Let's also ignore the multiple "that account doesn't exist" errors that logging into a Microsoft account entails. That's enough for a rant right there.

Friend has a Microsoft 365 subscription (Excel, Word, etc.). His dad also has one that just expired. They realized they could just combine and use one instead of paying for both, since you get something like 5 or 6 total installs out of a subscription.

Long story short, no matter what I do, whether it be deleting credentials, modifying the registry, completely uninstalling Office 365, even reinstalling fucking Windows itself, the minute the dad accepts the invite to join his son's subscription and signs in with his Microsoft account, it pops up and says that his (old) subscription has expired and he needs to re-up. It will not validate his install with the son's subscription, it just says his shit is expired. It will not allow me to get rid of the expired subscription no matter what I try. I did everything the internet suggested except just making him an entirely new Microsoft account, because apparently he has other shit tied to the existing one (no idea what), and you can't have two different accounts operating at the same time on the same computer. Once you sign in as one, it flips ALL of your Microsoft logins to that one.

Perhaps it is due to the subscription expiring less than a month ago and we just have to wait, but I kind of doubt it. I told them they can deal with Microsoft customer support and try to get it fixed, I'll fucking explode if I talk to them.

I almost just used the MAS activation script, but that would likely backfire on me at some point and I don't want to deal with explaining to them what that is all about.

Fucking Microsoft. I'd press a button to kill them all, right now.

Yep! The insta acceleration has saved me HOURS of time stuck at red lights. I know the timings for the work commute, and can get to the speed limit in 1 second. The rest of the cars are way behind me, and get stuck at the next light, and it's a good 6 minutes if there's a pedestrian. Do that twice a day, 5 days a week, those 6 minutes add up :p

I'm not an EV evangelist douche though. They work for me, I live in a climate that is kind to them (ie not super cold). Yet I still love riding in well designed ICE cars. My neighbor has like 4 corvettes, so much fun.

Several things rolled into one thing;

  1. Trump, on a social media platform almost nobody uses, threatening to use Weapons of Mass Destruction in a war being fought on behalf of a country and people committing a genocide on my skin colour through engineered attrition.
  2. A country and people I used to not have any issue with are so out of control that I am actually embracing, for the first time in my life, racism and a genuine dislike for them, their ways, their practices, and their hubristic arrogance.
  3. That everyone in power is just going along with that group's activities, crimes, and their sheer perversion of language, law, right, morality, and global order.
  4. That in spite of that I still believe "Not all <whatever except pedophiles>" but my patience is wearing thin
  5. And, of course, the sheer powerless in the face of it that I exist in, we exist in. We can't do anything about me, me less so for being Canadian. It's just going to happen because we bred out the killer/animal instinct in favour of being Civilized.
  6. The whole world feels out of control and insane, we are all lead by some combination of inept, stupid, corrupt, evil, useless, narcissistic, pieces of shit and there is nothing we can do about it. Whole world is going fucking topsy turvy and we just get to ride the coaster and wait for the whole thing to derail. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. That any of the above rustles my jimmies at all. I used to be unplugged, I miss that ignorance, I miss when my family, video games, and our dogs were all I cared about.
Not impressed with the world right now.

Also, it is really starting to seem like the diamond polishing compounds I am using have all had a contamination issue at the diamond powder, pre-compound, stage and it's making polishing a fucking chore and that just makes everything worse.
I am mostly rustled over the compound thing because it's fucking with my zen.

Global fucking epidemic of incompetence.
