Do you belong to an online gaming group with members that may be interested in participating in our beta program?
Just wondering how we want to deal with this stuff in the future, I'm not sure if it really impacts chances but going forward would be nice to know.

I hope we can rebind the dodge mechanic and I also wonder if they plan to allow you to double-tap in a direction to dodge?

Even a F2P game like Neverwinter had the option, I'd be surprised if this didn't have double tap and rebinding. This isn't SWTOR.

I highly doubt a game built from the ground up to be moddable by the playerbase like WoW is, wouldn't have the ability to choose different methods to dodge. Then again these games ship with some of the most obvious shit missing all the time.

That doesnt sound like a mistake they would make. Keybindings or a decent UI are the last thing I would worry about.

Really my only two concerns with this game are can they finish all that they have planned before they are forced to release the game because the money well runs dry, and will they be able to keep up with content additions to their many game systems. BGs/arena/warplots, group dungeons, hardcore raids, open world content with public quests and those tasks based on being explorer or soldier etc, crafting and who knows what else. That's alot of simultaneous work they need to split up and still deliver on content for in a reasonable time frame (it's the main failure of GW2 imo, each part of the game gets little bits here and there but they have no focus).

I don't think any of us really expect the game NOT to have re-bindable keys, it was more everyone being sarcastic towards the current gen games that HAVE released with minimal support for re-binding.

I would go so far as to say, "A game shipped without the ability to rebind keys is like a car shipped without a steering wheel."

Second DevSpeak video about, well movement :

So, I watched this video, and my initial impression of this game is unchanged. It looks like a Saturday morning cartoon, and they are releasing a video where the guy talks about "double jumps" for like 75% of it. Seriously? Maybe I'm not the target audience? I'm 40 now. How old are all you guys salivating over this thing? It looks borderline retarded to me.

Not that the game I'm looking forward to is looking any better atm *sigh TESO*. Maybe I need to just go join the club wishfully waiting to see what Camelot Unchained turns out like. In the meantime there's DDO. Their expansions are keeping me interested.

I think there is a lot of hope that the game will combine the best elements from across games that have been released. The hope that the dev team will be one that gets things done over a dev team that makes excuses and then falls flat on release of content.

Will it appeal to a ton of people? Who knows. SWTRO sold a ton of boxes on name alone and now the game does alright as a F2P model. Will it ever recover the initial investment? In time. Will they ever recover the goodwill lost? not likely.

This game has the failures of every MMO release before it to contend against as a force against sales in addition to "Looking like WoW". These are major points that will divide sales numbers BUT, if the game is amazing, people can look past these things and say, "Yeah, I can see myself playing this game over another game in the same category."

Ranting over, I know personally I'll apply to beta, see how it goes and test the waters for myself.
