You're not. The style and theme just fit so well together along with their humour. Either some people around here are turning 75(and even then I will still watch cartoons) or need to remove sticks. Outside the few genuine "just not my taste".

I dunno man... The world is just SO cheese. Im 30, i still like 'cartoons' ...But this has nothing to do with being 'cartoony'. Wldstar is just not funny... To me anyway. The fast talking salesman alien... Soda machines with arms and legs... Silly pig MOBs... It's just so cornball. Maybe that appeals to some, but certainly not this guy. That being said, I would have loved it when i was 14 or so. I could be way off though, and there are a lot of mature gamers that go for this kind of stuff. Who knows.

Yeah no idea what you are talking about Quaid, that video was perfect. All of their videos are really well done. The art style, atmosphere, everything, is all tied together nicely.

The telegraphing makes me concerned that every boss fight just boils down to"Stay out of the red area!"and start to feel a little bit rote after a while. There's definitely a higher mechanical skill requirement, but there's seemingly a lower knowledge requirement. I guess an argument can be made that staying out of the 'fire' is a pretty normal concept for most boss fights nowadays, but it's usually not applied to every single ability.
Still looks pretty fun, though.

Gotta admit I'm really sick of hearing about the telegraph system. I understand they are trying to explain it constantly so when people pick up the game they don't get frustrated but seriously.. It's not a selling point IMO. The biggest selling point for me and Wildstar is the fact that they know they are an MMO. It doesn't seem like they are trying to bring strong features from other genres and force them into an MMO. It seems like they are looking at what works for an MMO and trying to make it the best it can be. Kinda. It's a bit hard to explain.

I don't know how they will teach players that were inundated with the telegraph system with WoW how to suddenly start dodging the red circles but maybe this time it will work. Game does look fun and they are definitely trying to get as much of the WoW crowd as possible. Smart devs since WoW always seems like the popular fallback. Also smart because there is definitely a nostalgia WoW group and this game looks like it will tickle that itch again. It will be interesting to see if EQN can peel people away from the tried and true for new experiences.
This game should do really well. No matter what I may dislike about it, it still looks fun and that's the most important part. Need something to do while I'm not building stuff in EQL right?
