Absolutely amazing Grimgar this week.
Damn right. That OP Kobold really messed stuff up, but watching Ranta stop being a selfish piece of shit for once was a nice touch. This show rules. And it's strange... The very first episode gave me the feeling that the world of Grimgar was MMO style, but I haven't felt that way in any other episode. It was mostly because they said things like "Cell Phone... What is that and why did the word pop in to my head?"

KonoSuba is good. Its damn funny and the main character is awesomely fucked up. It does parody the usual harem type stuff, except the girls are pretty much rejects the main protagonist is stuck with.
Absolutely amazing Grimgar this week.

Kono suba is hilarious, definitely worth a watch.
I turned out not enjoying Konosuba. The first two episodes were good but everything after that was pretty tropey/cliche. The fight scenes all sucked, the camera would always pan away so as not to show blood, gore, or even any actual injuries. Eventually I couldn't tell the difference between it and softcore porn set in an RPG world. Oh well.

I don't know what you expected. It's a comedy.

The last two episodes of the anime heavily altered the scenario from the Erased manga. Still a great series and adaption but the anime's resolution felt rushed and really played down Yashiro from the manga version. The ending scenes were also more significant in the with extra tie-ins which leaves manga-first viewers feeling somewhat unfulfilled.

Some manga spoilers:
One of the big changes is that the girl in the hospital is related to Airi and Satoru meets her there. She's also the one that breaks the camera of the tabloid photographer and caused some memories to return. It's way better way to set up the Airi end without her coming out of nowhere.

The other change in the scenario is they all went to a rehabilitation summer camp and played a strategic game of cat and mouse against Yashiro with fakes, switches, and countermoves instead of a talk on the hospital roof. Yashiro drugged Kumi-chan and put her in a boat with a gradual leak so she would drown while Satoru catches him early on a bridge where the confrontation happens. He also wasn't a nice guy over the last 15 years and confesses to all of his murders in court. His backstory wasn't just about animal cruelty and the hamsters, he had a brother who used him to lure girls to be molested/raped and the brother was his first on the way to becoming a serial.

Re erased: yeah huge changes from the Manga, no doubt. Lot more depth to Yashiro in the manga and more substance overall BUT...

That being said, I feel completely satisfied with the ending of the anime.

Today was also the last episode of Gate. Series finale (unless another season happens later). It seemed to wrap everything up, but it wasn't a great episode. I enjoyed it for what it was (mainly because I love the show), but it was "eh" at best.

Some Gate light novel differences:
The ogre had plate armor that could withstand bullets, but Kuribayashi takes it on. Instead of merely sniping a shot past Zolzol's head they shot a goblet out of his hand. Also, they didn't use the sleep magic but had Rory and Yao kicking the guards' asses.

The motivation was also different, the primary objective was to stop the targeting of Lelei and merely rescue Pina while they were there. She obviously wasn't happy to be a side quest. That's the unfortunate political side effects of the anime medium, have to be more politically appealing and not all gungho military focus, they're actually peace seeking nation builders!

Need more Haikyuu, Baby Steps, and Ippo all at once.

Dragon Ball Super is kinda weak - when i watch it i wonder how amazing it would be if Ufotable was doing it.

Ok, today was also the last episode of God Eater & Haikyuu.

Haikyuu was great. Excellent "wrap up" kind of episode. I'm looking forward to next season.
God Eater was violent, but then got really strange at the end. It's as if they didn't know what they were going to do, so just quickly wrote something to appease the masses. It wasn't great.

Just finished this week's crunchyroll shows. Liked the ending of Erased, even with the differences from the manga. Satoru gets to meet up with Best Girl again.

Ok I might be misremembering times, but wasn't Airi like 17 in 2014 or whatever the 'original' timeline was? Wasn't the new 'timeline' in 2009...?

When has age ever stopped the Japanese? Based off anime, that entire country is nothing but pedophiles.

I would assume its later, since the banner on the school they visit says 2010 champions.

The original timeline is 2006 when he's 29, and Airi is 16 or 17 at that point. By the end its at least 2010, she'd be 20. And he's 33, which is how old I am.

So I'm off to Japan to hang out under bridges trying to pick up cute pizza girls.
