Vaniki is still pretty great with the double loot. It's made GMM obscene. Literally raining loot. FashionQuest~

I ran through a set of 2.0 epics on vaniki a few weeks back at 95. Sk, bard and shaman were all nice and easy. Eqprogression has a well done set of guides for the various epics. https://www.eqprogression.com/shadow-knight-class-guides/ The only issue I ran into was the 1.5 prequest skip for...

Getting dogpiled in discord over turning in a few items to Marcia each week for nobles was a real highlight of my time on Mischief. So many small brains were absolutely convinced that this was the big plat exploit. All the while I'm trying to explain there was an actual hack/dupe that had been...

As he was quietly building MQ2 complies that worked on Mischief eh? Edit: He wasn't keeping anything he was doing a secret.

Selo launch was the most enjoyable. Multiple leveling path options and the beginning raids in trash gear was super fun. I think if they want to try to push Personas more we might...and this is a hopeful might, see level required tag removed like on vaniki. With gear just having recommended...

You're going to love when you start messing with personas and click all those level 100 gear AAs. Just starting off a level 1 with a +125 damage shield mod is hilarity.

The pet focus items work for a specific level range. A random player I don’t know just handed me a pet focus 16 for free the other day and it has a level 71-95 pet range listed on it. with Journeymen level mercs in the game from the start you can run a dual box of any two classes and a tank +...

I've found Vaniki to really be the best nostalgia server to play through older content. They removed all the level requirements on gear so you can take level 100+ tradeskill gear and slap it on level 1's. It will scale down very low at first but by level 10 you are a monster. I put a honed...

Well they did remove the required level on gear for vaniki. They just had recommended levels and really the stat lowering isnt too bad at all. I ran this 55 monk for the achievement raids the other day and he's a little beast. Mainhand from HH Crushbone and offhand is a HoT droppable scaled...

I think selo had the right idea with launching in a later expansion. Killing emp with naked toons at 60 was good fun. I don't think any specific tweaks they can make to the game itself to make it harder will really do anything. The game has been solved many times over. I think they only way...

About the Vaniki style discussion... I just leveled up a full set of toons on vaniki and then some 55s to run the set of achievement raids this past week (CBQ, Lower Guk Ldon escort raid, Emp Ssra). The current level cap is 80 with the HoT expansion unlocked. Normally you are leveling through...

He managed to snake like 6 crystalline spears off vox before someone figured it out.

It was nice leveling toons without people being able to train you. Then you realize there is not really much else going on to hook you.

This makes me laugh every time.

Ranger tank was good fun up to GoD era. With glyphs any class can tank raid bosses if they can hold agro. Flame lick is amazing for keeping the mob locked on you. I had a blast on selo tanking various plane of time mobs then it hit a wall with mob damage output in GoD,

I absolutely love the new orchestral music in these games. Loaded up part one with the music cranked in the living room. Warrior, Monk, Red Mage, Black Mage. Might as well play through this with the broken group. I feel like I've bought this game at least half a dozen times now.

All of the turn ins have been nerfed as of September 2022. My guess is someone found a way to repop her in one of the original zones prenerfed to collect those 190 noble per CoS turn ins.

They did it. The finally permabanned my account for abusive chat. No more telling the doom/junkerqueen/ball to get on a shield tank for the team or pointing out the trash players stats on the scoreboard. Those are both banning offenses now. =)

I was looking forward to making some new toons to level up with family like a diablo 3 season. Play for a bit like Vaniki. This does not look appealing at all.

Those are the ones that won by points. I was 44 druid Thermy My pvp partner was Apostle Pete at 45 cleric. We both played with Darkwind. The people who won farmed points the first week and never logged back on. Pete actually won the whole competition but they disqualified him saying that his...

On the Discord permadeath pvp server with a group of guildies in our mid 30's farming old Cazic zone. We check /who basically as a hotkeyed command pressed every 30 seconds to see if anyone zones in. Group of 6 level 35 SKs zone in. We notice them immediately. We are on the top of the temple...

Discord was the name of the pvp competition server. At level 6 you were flagged for open pvp. No race/class restrictions. Perma death with full item loot. You were awarded points for killing anyone within like 12 levels of you. The competition was supposed to last 3 months. The server was...

Yes I think it's crap as well but it will be either of those. I heard that from an actual person who works with DBG so that means it won't be either.

It's going to be personal loot and/or level scaling in zones. Either way it will suck and everyone will hate it.

You've played with me on how many servers and you come at me like this?

I hope folks appreciate the amount of effort this took.

It's never been a secret though. Most people just don't know that ability exists from PoP onward. Now when Mischief launched I put 10 deputy visages on my accounts but I collected those for 2-4kr each. The fairy illusions I did the same but even cheaper. I never gamble on the loot boxes, just...

7 mil plat. 3.5 mil each with krono selling for 500k a pop. Enchanter project illusion is your friend. =)

So they put all the Heritage Crates back on the marketplace and the gambling addicts showed up in force! Which lead me to this... Which in turn took me down a dark path to this... Which is how we came to this... Yep.

After Mischief I cannot play without free trade anymore. Live is even ruined for me. No more group content bitch gear for my boxes no sir.

I used to do the beastlord pet trick in the oasis with Pouch of Mistletoe Powder. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=3654 Buff the pet to max level. Give it a Steel Hilted Flint Dagger and Silken Whip of Ensnaring and tell him to go make me proud.

You need those level cap increases for the multiple stacks per cast of the current and previous 2 tiers of the spell. That is what I was getting at. My ballpark estimate that was around SoD era there would have been enough level cap increases for those spells to be at full value.

I'm looking at SoD for playing the necro. Need a couple level cap increases for the dot squish mechanic to catch up.

At the end of the day we just don't like most things. Sometimes it's nice to look forward to something.

I'm really looking forward to firing this up on the ps5 in the living room with the sound cranked up. From the reviews I've seen this looks like breath of the wild in potterverse. Amazon preorder shows delivery for tomorrow. Hopefully that pans out.

I didn't need to see Ron Swanson make out so I hit the +10 second fast forward button a few times until the next scene. The story still had an emotional impact and was well acted.

This hit me the way the opening of UP smacked me around in the middle of the theater out of nowhere. Amazing hour of storytelling.

Watched the first 2 episodes of this travesty. Immediately went to vudu and purchased the full 9 seasons of the original show. My wife didn't remember watching the show. I told her to prepare for a master class in sitcom delivery. By the time the show hits season 3 it is amazing.

Peak Mischief absurdity was being able to clear plane of fire with a handful of friends boxing. 5-6 people working together and doing a full clear of fire each week and getting 8+ drops a piece was flat out nuts. I said before PoP even launched on mischief that plane of time should only drop...

The main problem with the Selo server was not the 1 month lockouts. That was the best part. The half timers for instance lockouts is what burned people out. Make it double loot. Condense the horrible barren expansions into 1 month. Take all the level 70 expacs and combine them into 1 month...
