Majuular's videos are amazing. Early Ultima was before my time but I still found his retrospectives fascinating. I'm very curious to see how he'll tackle Ultima Online once he gets there.

Since people have enjoyed some of the retro stuff, here's my latest pickups. Got Shining Force 3 for a pretty reasonable price. Gemfire was a favorite as a kid and found it CIB and had to get it, no hesitation.

I use a Retroid Pocket 4+ and I'm more than happy with it. Plays anything Dreamcast and under flawlessly. It can apparently do PS2 and GC but I'm a retroachievements whore and the android emulators for those don't have RA support so I don't use them; I use the Steam Deck for those.

Turns out the Virtual Boy I bought had a malfunctioning lens. Read up and it's a common problem as it uses a ribbon cable with glue and eventually comes undone after time. It can be soldered back on but I honestly have never soldered anything before so I returned it and more-or-less exchanged...

Wife bought this a little while back and I got around to watching it. It seemed pretty generic? I didn't actively dislike it, but it felt it to be of the caliber of the entry origin stories like the first Thor or Captain America. Enjoyable, but not "holy shit, that was transcendent".

Yeah, it looks wonderful, plays amazing, but shortly after hitting max at release my interest evaporated. This is largely in part due to how terrible max level + was at launch, but after that debacle, I'm not shelling out any more money on Destiny. It's a shame, because the gunplay is so crisp.

Got Yakuza 0 earlier this week. First Yakuza game I've played and so far its great. I love the blend between the over-the-top absurdity and seriousness.
