Finished 'Yumi and the Nightmare Painter,' the new secret novel. It was interesting and had a good concept. I wonder if there will be more books set in that world.

S4 first two episodes of Jack Ryan make it look like the season could be quite good. We'll see.

Bret Chrysler is definitely an acquired taste. Hope the movie is funny so other comics can make good comedies again, though.

I finished my read and of ICE's original run of books, Night of Knives through Assail. Speed read through a good chunk of Assail. It was nice to see some loose ends tied but the quality difference was hard to get through. Bringing back a very important character wasn't that great to see.

I'm reading the Esslemont books for the first time. Enjoying them since you see different areas of the world. Also, some characters from Erikson. He's just not as good or funny as Erikson. Glad I bought the books, but I don't know about any re-reads. Seeing Korel, Assail, and Jacuruku was...

This plus A Song of Ice and Fire has made me wait buying book series until at least 3 books are released. Great start with nothing behind it.

Agreed. For kids getting into fantasy, Eddings is a fine start. Terry Pratchett's Discworld is also great. Some are young adult but he weaves characters across 41 books, which is impressive.

Age of Madness was good. I miss the old characters a bit, but he's done a good job keeping the world moving with changes. It'll be interesting to see the new/existing crop of characters move the world forward. Especially with any conflict by the magic users.

Finished season 3. I enjoyed it. Less ludicrous than season 2, maybe. A plausible plot that could potentially happen? Yeah, I think so.

Resurrected. 3rd season is out. Starts fast and am enjoying it. Much better than season 2. Lot of action.

Yeah, I'm back to The Crippled God on a re-read and just skip the snake until there's a new PoV. Fantastic series but Erikson really dials up the philosophy in Toll of the Hounds. I'm glad he relaxed in The God is not Willing.

Yeah, I've liked all the Dark Souls and Elden Ring but rarely parry. Gwyn notwithstanding. I'll play Sekiro at some point just to do it, but I doubt I'll touch it ever again.

I'm just slogging through Sekiro. Not a fan. Wish Bloodborne and Demon Souls would come out for PC.

Finished it. Liked it pretty well. Solid enough show. Will be interesting to see if they do more of the books. There are currently five.

I'm up to ep 6 of 8. I like the story so far and a Seal just fucking people up with his friends. Also, Jai Courtney has a very punchable face so it's fun to see Chris Pratt going after him.

The author of the book is Jack Carr. He's making the rounds on podcasts. Decent listen and the character sounds all right.

My Max 15 is banging along Elden Ring quite nicely. Nees to set it up better with everything else I need. Just don't feel like it's worth the time yet.
