If you plan on printing CF or any abrasive filaments make sure the nozzle you're using is hardened steel. Most printers come with brass and those filaments will wear away at the nozzle.

I got bored waiting on the elegoo to ship and also ordered a LD-002R from Creality. Sacrificed some souls to make math rocks. Going to sand and polish them and make some silicone mold sets.

Looks like Creality is releasing an Ender 6 with a larger build plate and faster print speeds, that's gonna be nice if it's as affordable as their others. I ordered a Elegoo Mars Pro from MyMiniFactory still waiting to hear when it'll be shipping. I recently got into resin casting so being...

Had no idea Dawn of Solace was coming out with a new album. Considering he killed the project along with Before the Dawn to focus on Wolfheart. Hopefully he's considering bringing Before the Dawn back to an active state at some point that'd be fucking amazing.

My roommate's holiday gift to me was a collage of the numerous times she caught my cat doing this around the house over the past year. Laughed my ass off.

Ah now that's an easy answer for me at least, i'm an RGB whore everything about my PC glows, I made custom nanoleaf panels that also animate/glow, this'll probably go to the left of my PC. Totally not insulting I have friends who have the same views just different strokes for different folks...

Mostly for fun and to put on display at home. I just plan on setting it up with my other lights so when I flip my switch it turns on. Some of the other shapes and designs are meant to be a little more artistic like the Icosahedron that Greg Davill made: This dude hand placed EVERY piece of...

Reworked the corner braces to be more rigid, the original design was flexible and didn't really make for a stable setup. All 3 panels going in the cube configuration: I'm waiting on the panels I ordered from Aliexpress to build the remaining two larger panels but now i'm also thinking...

Looking good. Also if you want to avoid using adhesives for wearable prints a 3D pen can be used to fuse parts together on the interior

Final design laid out, this should be universal to all 5 sides (still debating if I should bother with a 6th base panel or not): 4 corner mounts the screw holes thread through the corner mount then through the diffuser cover and into the panel mounting tray. It's much sturdier than snapping a...

Decided to take the LED cube thing to the next level. An Über Cube if you will, instead of 6 LED panels one per side, why not 9 LED panels on each side? I could find a design I liked to accomplish it so I ended up having to make my own. I went through 4-5 revisions and ended up with this as...

Damn that is one pricey piece of equipment. Looks nice though. Can't be of much help there since I haven't gotten into laser cutting/engraving yet. Been looking to but I have zero room for any new equipment until I move later this year :(

Good luck with the nozzle clog, if you can't cold pull it using a butane torch to lightly heat the nozzle while pulling sometimes works well.

Even Christmas trees are unsafe to search for :P I was browsing last season and sure enough a "Christmas tree" that looked like a butt plug showed up in my feed. I dunno if people actually use printed sex toys but the materials available don't seem very good for it...

Yea, 3d printing supports are kinda wasteful by default. There are some "Tree" Supports ( I think cura has the option for them), but when you print and enable supports they're meant to be pulled off with some pliers.

The second one looks better, have you tried removing the supports from it? The photo's a bit blurry so I can't make out any issues with the support enabled print.

Made a Pokeball Nintendo Switch game case for my friend. Was a pain in the ass to make because the hinges are not designed that well. I ended up having to just set the layers just below the hinge parts to start with 100% infill. Switching to PLA+ from eSun also helped a ton too. edit: model...

Latest project was a LED cube using 6 8x8 WS2812 panels. I did a write up on how to assemble it along with the parts used 8x8 WS2812 LED Cube I love the way it turned out: I'm working on a model for a DIY "HyperCube" at the moment in FreeCAD. Had to go back to the drawing board a couple...

I'm biased so i'll do it up front. The Prusa i3 MK3(S) is amazing i've had one for a while and it just works, if a print fucks up it's usually due to something I did wrong 9/10. The con is it's a $749 kit or $999 if assembled by them so the cost is high. Prusa just introduced their Mini...

Hardware issue resolved, new mobo didn't fix the issue and presented the same failure point as the prior ASUS, exchanged the proc and I am back to working again.
