Alliances help rogues a lot, if you have several. What ultimately matters the most is getting into a "preferred" group comp with bard, shaman, beastlord for group only buffs. After that, with similar gear and H-stats...they are all three somewhat close, but I don't think I was ever able to beat...

Yes, sadly. Monks definitely, but there are points where you will be on par with a Zerker...much closer to live though.

At 2.85 hours per day, I'd say we're doing much better than the average American adult who spends 5 hours a day watching TV. But I'm guessing that's not an addiction.

Monk splitting for sure, but that wasn't the only splitting mechanic that was in the game from early on. Cleric, Paladin, Enchanter, and Bard "Calm" lines were features to reduce social agro and themselves were a form of splitting.

Yea I never quite understood the thoughts behind that mechanic. Splitting was such a huge part of EQ and they juts completely did away with it in EQ2.

This weeks episode was quite good I thought. My only complaint this season came straight out of the Sid episode...which was just overly long for what it was. Season finale next week...looking forward to it to say the least.

EQ2 could have been fun... If only they hadn't designed combat to be an exercise in binding 1-10, ALT+ 1-10, and CTRL+ 1-10... For the life of me I never understood how someone (developers) could have possibly thought that style of "combat" would be enjoyable.

Calling backer access to Alpha/Beta Pay-to-Win is pretty disingenuous. Early access certainly is (in a launch environment), but certainly not testing in alpha/beta.

Neither Pantheon or Ashes can be considered AAA despite the hype for them...they're both crowd funded.

Much like they were post-completion on Live, after you've figured out the tricks there isn't anything terribly complicated other than executing. And since none of the encounters have actually changed, the "figuring it out" part no longer exists and as such most of the encounters are considered...
