It's a self-fulfilling prophecy and circular reasoning. A lot of those teams, such as Georgia, had no business to be ranked so high to begin with. When you rank them that high and they lose, they don't fall that far. Teams lose in front of them and they move right back up. Meanwhile, a team like MSU who has the #1 D in cfb, isn't even in the top 10 because they started out of the preseason top 25.

It's a fucking joke and circular SEC bias.

And I bet Mizzou was further outside the top 25 to begin the year than Michigan St was. Hell, people were questioning if we would even make a bowl or not.

There wouldn't be as much SEC bias if teams that got into the title game actually won. Until someone beats the SEC in the title game the SEC is going to get the benefit of the doubt at the top.

Well come on now, he makes a compelling argument. Alabama just lost, but they are Alabama, so they deserve to be in the NC game.

Dude chokes up like his grandma just died

Thank you for the comedy gold! Looking at their amazingly difficult schedule, I'm glad they finally played a top team. Two ranked teams on that whole schedule and one of them barely beat the listless Razorbacks this week. Go (home) Bama!!!!!

I get the anti-OSU sentiment.

As an OSU fan, I don't share it, but I get it.

OSU was embarrassed by Florida.

OSU (and really, LSU too) shouldn't have played for a national championship.

A lot of OSU fans are annoying as fuck.

It still doesn't change the fact that OSU has gone two seasons without losing a game. Sure, it hasn't always been pretty, and there's probably a few games they should have lost, but they didn't.

Michigan played a damn good game. I know, I know, they barely Akron and Connecticut. They lost to PSU (who lost to OSU 63-14 but beat Wiscy 31-24). But Michigan has had class after class of highly touted recruits. Can anyone honestly say that it's a total shock that they might be able to play a good game as a team?

No one game serves as a good barometer of a team's quality, but a season(s) does a pretty good job and OSU did everything it could (so far) to merit a shot at the title. So has FSU.

Missouri and Auburn failed.

They reaped the benefits of playing the SEC (as did Clemson for beating a mediocre Georgia team) and they need to suffer the consequences too.

I agree they should get in but only because they are undefeated and there's literally no other top echelon team that can take their place. They have played absolutely nobody of any true relevance just like they did last year. They deserve it because they are the last team standing. That's it. Can't wait for the playoff system to get these stay puff teams out of the way for a true champ game. At least they will give a better game than Notre Dame did last year. What a waste.

If Auburn follows up beating the number 1 team with beating the number 4 team, Auburn deserves to jump OSU. OSU doesn't play anybody so going undefeated doesn't really matter compared to how Auburn is finishing their season.

Pretty much my thought on this, just not sure that will be how it will play out. No matter if OSU gets in I ca't see them coming out with a win. So no Dumar for a long time either way makes me happy.

What about that whole "beating the team that beat Alabama" thing? Not a factor. I just think it's fucking crazy if Mizzou wins the SEC title that they get bypassed as a 1 loss SEC champion whose only loss was to a top 10 team in double OT with their backup QB playing lol.
Fuck off, you pedo.

I really hope OSU loses so the national championship game is worth watching. If it's FSU vs OSU, FSU will destroy them (unless Winston is in jail lol)...
