I get the anti-OSU sentiment.
As an OSU fan, I don't share it, but I get it.
OSU was embarrassed by Florida.
OSU (and really, LSU too) shouldn't have played for a national championship.
A lot of OSU fans are annoying as fuck.
It still doesn't change the fact that OSU has gone two seasons without losing a game. Sure, it hasn't always been pretty, and there's probably a few games they should have lost, but they didn't.
Michigan played a damn good game. I know, I know, they barely Akron and Connecticut. They lost to PSU (who lost to OSU 63-14 but beat Wiscy 31-24). But Michigan has had class after class of highly touted recruits. Can anyone honestly say that it's a total shock that they might be able to play a good game as a team?
No one game serves as a good barometer of a team's quality, but a season(s) does a pretty good job and OSU did everything it could (so far) to merit a shot at the title. So has FSU.
Missouri and Auburn failed.
They reaped the benefits of playing the SEC (as did Clemson for beating a mediocre Georgia team) and they need to suffer the consequences too.
