Storm blew through Houston and killed my DVR. I lost the finale episode, can someone give a synopsis?

Thanks bros. I know it will be a clear and unbiased telling of the story of what transpired.

Well they Hersheled the episode. Pen of family zombies run by old Mexican woman. White mom tricks Mexican mom into the pen and locks her in. Old latino guy burns the place down. Chris tries to kill everyone but fails. Black guy shoots his BF in the head. Junkie kid gets all bloody and does stuff. It's out of order, but that's what happened.

Considering this series isn't confined by having to adapt source material, I really have no idea why the end of this season turned into TWD Season 2: Mexico. There are so many other stories this show could be telling.

They had an open concept, a well known IP that they were tied to . . . and this is what they made.

Feel thefearand horror of cruising about on a multi-million dollar luxury boat. And when they finally do go ashore for the second half of the season so far, we get what we got.

I think this show needs a knife to the brain.

I don't really care enough to actually go looking for info, but I was wondering why the old latino guy didn't see the old Mexican woman when he went to burn the place down. He was in the exact same room she got left in, so she should have either been a zombie that they normally would have prominently shown (to drive it home to us that Madison essentially murdered her) or she'd have been hiding and snuck out behind him (possibly locking him in as well). Now, I don't actually think she's alive or anything, because she'd be a terrible "vengeful antagonist that was left for dead but really wasn't", but this show has done stupider shit, so why not?

In truth, I aint going to bother going back over that episode. . .

But I recall her saying something when she went in there with Maddie, along the lines of "what if your child was hungry and you could not feed him?" and that she really just allowed Maddie to slide back out and lock the gate.

And that when Old Gringo El Salvador went in there, it looked like some of the Zombie's were eating stuff, small enough that they were holding in their hands. So I figured they had pretty much consumed her.

I could have seen that wrong, by then my eye's were tired from rolling back in my head multiple times.

I haven't hit the point where it's too intolerable to watch yet (likely because my emotional investment is all but nonexistent). I only watch theWalkingDead shows passively so I have something to talk about at the office with the people who actually do like it.

Inside spoiler is an action shot, cropped to make it SFW, but I figured best to play safe

2-1 was pure torture. I wished my media player had the x1.25 speed feature youtube has, that would help so much with that show.

Does it get better? For the first 40 minutes it felt like they were going for people just being toxic and hostile to each other ruining the thing for them because they can't stop infighting, but the final two minutes turned it around.

Honestly, not really. There are a few decent episodes, but this show became a real shit show. I'll continue to watch, because well... Yay, Zombies, but this FTWD really missed a great opportunity to show the unfolding zombie apocalypse as people experienced it, but they decided to do all that in about 3 episodes then move right intoWalkingDead: West Coast with worse writing, characters and zombie drama.

Pretty much. The main hook "Experience the collapse of society!!!!" has kind of eroded. I mean, you still have some naive folks (maybe this will blow over, they're just sick not undead), but you've also got full blown Raider gangs like this is a Fallout game.

damn. Ep2 was actually decent TV, not just decent for awalkingdead episode but actually good. Characters being pretty reasonable about everything, tense moments, I actually enjoyed it.

Best part was getting a few lines of actual global background, though, which is what they should be doing faaaar more often.

The only eye rolling part for me was "yeah, being a junkie loser makes you an expert pharmacist capable of telling happy pills from medicine from death pills"
I get his worthless dad wouldn't point this out, but his mom should have.

^^^

Was going to say that best episode ( only good one perhaps ) of season 2 was the one with the Park Ranger family.

When I saw that one, I thought they were setting up a template for episodes where they would encounter small groups of survivors and be with them / in contact with them / battling them - whatever . . . for a few episodes before: mass deaths and run for your lives.

So I thought, okay this should work . . . no they didn't deliver on that from then on.

While typing this, I remembered something else: There was one other good part of an episode where they go ashore where they can see wreckage of a crashed passenger jet. A few neat things happen there.

It might just be me, but the new episodes in part 2 of season 2 have been pretty good. I have enjoyed them more than even the original walking dead.

You have to admire their ambition, I guess. Holding on to a giant fucking resort with ten people and no guns. Just look at all that ground floor glass.

The zombies are our only defense. Lets get rid of them. Was this some kind of blonde joke?

The other story is better. White boy shows up in Mexico and prime pussy just throws itself at him. I thought Nick was supposed to be streetwise. Once she pops out that anchor baby she'll turn into a bridge troll bro.

Considering how this show started, I'm surprised that Nick ended up being the only character really care about. Not that I actively dislike any of the others. They just aren't interesting enough to have any feelings about one way or the other, especially since their storyline isn't any different than what you get on the parent show. Watching a group of survivors try to build a home and have to deal with the inhabitants (undead or otherwise) is exciting only so many times. Strand had promise but what made him intriguing has mostly washed away since they made it to Mexico. I have hopes of Chris becoming a little more interesting as he continues to go full sociopath, but at this point, he's too insufferable and his father is too much of a wet blanket.
