update: well, I think my healthcare provider has basically just given up and officially declared me as having AFIB for no particular reason
Did the Keto diet fr just over two weeks, and it actually increased the amount of episodes I had. So sugar isnt the problem.
Edit: to clarify, I was having episodes nearly every other day while on Keto, and I’ve only had them twice since going off.
got my electrolyte levels checked, after supplementing for a week and here were the results, April results are from when I was in the ER with actively occurring AFIB:
I'm puzzled that Chloride and Magnesium levels stayed static, despite supplementing Magnesium Citrate and Potassium Chloride
also more recently, ive had extreme light headedness during some episodes, a coworker thought that sounded like iron deficiency to him, so i also had Iron levels checked with my electrolyte panel in august, along with vitamin D, and got this result:
it should be noted for iron levels, the day before i took this test, I ate three 1/4 beef patties in the late afternoon as part of my keto diet so im not sure why iron levels were low
what i find concerning is that all my lab results review came back as "Labs fine" for every stat, including low iron level. health team said iron saturation was more important than iron level stat, but thats only two points above low normal range.
going to start supplementing iron and vitamin D tomorrow and see if symptoms improve.
Weight got down to 222 on keto, and went back up to 224 after going off (i'm assuming fluid retention) going to do another three week keto run starting this monday
ill update if anything out of ordinary happens
