yea, i've still yet to setup my hd attenna, i do miss just "watching" the news and not being forced a view

i'd watch these two every weeknight
fuck those assholes, they killed that little girl after torturing her first for years. that ugly bitch gave up Joel but she played right along with him until it was her neck in a twist, then she cut a deal. they should have both been executed by slow torture.
He's long dead.

This whole thing reminds me of Robert Fisher, he killed his wife and kids in Arizona, turned his house into a bomb and drove into the Tonto National Forest where he promptly disappeared. The FBI then put him on the 10 most wanted list for years afterwards because he had experience hiking, hunting and camping in that specific area. They figured there was a small chance he escaped from the forest and hiked out, at no point did they ever say "He's living in Tonto National Forest as a caveman, we need to catch him". The reality is he probably went there as he loved the place and chose somewhere familiar that he liked to end his life. The FBI now admit that they think if his remains are ever found they'll be skeletal and next to his body will be a shell casing. They've left him up a fugitive, just in case, but they are almost certain he's dead.

It's damn near impossible to live in the wilderness for any length of time, even if you're an expert outdoorsman. Everyone who has lived in it for any length of time as a fugitive has resorted to robbing cabins and houses, as it's just so difficult to survive off your own back.

Some young kid with zero experience, no way he could survive for this length of time. He's either dead there or he's not out in the wilderness and is hiding in plain sight.
my point was that he isnt in any woods hiding out in a tent living off the land like Bear Grylls. he is able to ghost everyone just by wearing his mask like a good Covidian. get on a bus, hit a major city, mingle with the homeless and get fed by libs every day. nobody ever looks at the homeless, even to feed them. grow a beard wear a hat and keep the mask on. nobody will ever recognize him unless by some lucky chance. you know how many fugitives live as a bum? cops dont care as long as you say out of their way.

I absolutely agree, if he's alive, he ain't hiding in no swamp. There's been cases of missing people turning up 10+ years down the road as homeless, they are complete untraceable. A friend of mine went missing in NYC a few years ago, she was missing for 2 years. She'd moved to New York after meeting a guy, the relationship went tits up, she had a mental breakdown. She ended up in a homeless shelter in NY, nobody was informed at any point. The only reason she was found was because we crowdfunded a PI who found her and that took months.

This girl was reported missing in the UK and the USA, she should have been flagged by the system, she wasn't though.

friends and family say he's an experienced outdoors man

also if you follow the timeline that the family left with him in the forrest, and waited 3 days b4 calling him missing, giving him a 3 day headstart, who knows what kind of survival gear they also outfitted him with.

Got to find, hunt or carry food, get potable water, make shelter and remain hidden. It's a tall order.

over ten years ago, maybe 20, there was a documentary some indy people made about the homeless in NYC. these were people not living on the street, they were in the subway system . not even on the trains or the benches begging for money. they were literally living in the discontinued walled off track sections of the subway system. they were getting in and out by a forgotten utility station behind a bridge or something. nobody kew it was there, but there were dozens of homeless inside that called it home. they were completely gone from society. i saw another one about people living outside of Vegas in old sewage pipes and abandoned housing developments from the housing crash in 08. crazy shit. go out in the day, beg for food and stuff, then slink back to your hideyhole when nobody is looking.

He's 23 years old. Aint no 23 year old in 2021 an 'experienced outdoorsman'. Maybe he watched some bushcraft videos on YT or something, but there's no fucking way he's living rough all this time.

Saw a small documentary recently about mole people in Vegas, they live in the storm drains. The police and authorities never bother with them, the only people that visit are some weird Christian charity that provides food and basic medical care. There's probably communities like that in most major US cities.

yep, storm drains, culverts and large sewer pipes. they have them in every town and major city. nobody checks them, many know the homeless are chilling out in them, but who gonna go in there to chase them out? the cops? they would get jacked in the dark the same as anyone else and then people will just run further in and escape out at another open section. realistically this guy is probably dead or staying at a friend's house that the cops dont know about. i have friends that never even fucked with social media. would be easy to disappear off the map and just work a job for cash like illegals do. toss your phone away and disappear.

Only knew one person that went missing. Father of a friend of mine. He was known as a A #1 asshat/crook. They cound his truck burned up at a remote road that dead ended in the largest lake in TX inside the national forest. They looked forever. Followed rumors that was living in Arkansas at a casino and all kinds of shit. I was working on the naitonal forest then and the cops asked me to keep an eye out if I found his body. Gee thanks I was just going to step over it and not mention to anyone until you said that. Of course they weighted him down and dropped him 30 feet of water. Closest someone would have been even during the day was normally a couple of miles.

Can't say I blame the cops for not going into the storm drains, dark as hell and primed for traps or ambushes. Fuck that noise when you can easily wait them out if you really needed to find a fugitive holed up down there.

Off the grid friend makes sense, they are few and far between aged 23, it's a possibility though. If this Brian fella spent a fair bit of time camping and doing outdoor activities, he could well have met someone that is that way inclined. The cops are pretty poor at hunting fugitives these days, they rely on tech too much. Chuck all your devices, cards etc and never log in again, they are screwed. Physically hunting people is a dying profession for sure.

If he died in an area with any manner of predators or scavengers, they probably won't find much in the way of remains. Especially if he died in the swamp - gators usually like to drag their food into the water, so even skeletal remains would be hidden under all that muck.

its stupid easy really. say he knows a guy (or girl), guy is kinda stupid. doesnt watch the news, most people dont anymore. young people watch youtube, twitch, online game all day or whatever hobby they're into. where the hell is this friend going to hear about this guy wanted for murder? not many people go to the post office either, no reason to when you could drop your packages at a UPS Store or Amazon drop off center at Staples. no wanted posters there. with Covid, people dont want to get too close to anyone anymore. we're becoming an isolated society. perfect for a fugitive to roam free in.

I was really interested to discover there is a name for this sensation and people studying it. Its interesting that such a wide variety of stimuli can trigger what is recognizably the same sensation in different people.

My second reaction is horror at discovering that apparently most sufferers of this condition enjoy it. In some cases going so far as to deliberately trigger it. what in the actual fuck

I'm reminded of the twilight zone episode where the patient wakes and the viewer sees for the first time that all the "normal" people around her have the faces of monsters

“The way the wheels were spinning, I knew somebody was in there,” Medina said to NBC 5.

Medina sprung into action.

“I told the gentleman ‘how about I get you out of the car to a safe area, and we’ll get your car off the tracks before a train comes,’” Medina told the outlet, but the 72-year-old was suffering from a medical emergency and could not move.

Medina called 911 for help but he observed a train approaching down the tracks and understood time was ticking away, NBC reports.

“I said ‘I don’t think we have time,’ so I unbuckled him, I grabbed him a bear hug, thinking he’ll put his arms around me, but he just slipped right out of my arms,” Medina told NBC 5. “So I grab him by his shirt and pants and he fell right between the tracks so now I’m really panicking.”

Medina’s daughter, Hannah, was still in her father’s vehicle and began to worry, NBC 5 reports. “I looked out the window and I saw the arm coming down, and at that moment I tried to listen for my dad or any sign that he didn’t get hit, but I couldn’t hear anything over the sound of the horn,” she said.

Medina was able to bring the man to safety as they tumbled down a hill beside the tracks, according to Fox 32.

“As soon as I got him at the bottom of the hill, the train smashed the car,” Medina told CBS 2.

Medina informed CBS 2 that he learned the 72-year-old man had been suffering from diabetic shock after he was released from the hospital.

Medina will be honored for his selfless rescue at the county board meeting next month.

“I know it was God because there was no way I could have picked that man up there, there’s no way,” Medina told NBC 5. “So I know God had everything to do with it.”
