Full Automation...with Ground Robotics

We’re excited to announce the BETA launch of DroneDeploy’s Ground Robotics solution.
With this new solution, users send ground robots, such as rovers or quadrupeds like Spot from Boston Dynamics, on autonomous inspection missions. Equipped with payloads such as 360 cameras, thermal cameras, or gas sensors, the robots will capture data of their environment and push this back to the DroneDeploy platform for analysis.
With Ground Robotics, users send ground robots on autonomous inspection missions.

Regular inspections are vital to keeping construction projects on schedule, but capturing this data is labor-intensive. Traditionally, employees had to walk around job sites with handheld cameras or scanners. But with DroneDeploy, robots like Spot can be equipped with a 360 camera and sent on autonomous inspection missions. Once this data is uploaded to DroneDeploy, you can view a 360 Walkthrough of your building interior by floor or level. Easily tag and annotate issues such as loose wiring, broken pipes, or debris, and assign these to employees, reducing rework down the line.
Regular inspections are vital to keeping projects on schedule, but capturing this data is labor-intensive.

Manually inspecting solar farms can take months, with employees traveling to remote locations and walking for miles in high temperatures to check the condition of assets. But with DroneDeploy, you can send ground robots to perform these routine inspections autonomously, capturing high resolution images of assets along with accurate geolocation data. Once data is uploaded to DroneDeploy, you can tag and annotate issues like disconnected cables or damaged bearings and send maintenance teams to fix them.
Ground Robotics is a limited BETA for Enterprise customers only. Please contact your DroneDeploy Customer Success Manager for more information.

If it killed someone it's just a "gun" at that point. Escort and hooker rules.

I havent followed this story because Im about as interested in Hollywood people shooting each other as Chicago gang members shooting each other. (Althought it appears Hollywood people have better aim)

But I'll ask the obvious question anyway cause I havent seen this obvious point mentioned anywhere.

Why would there be live rounds anywhere near a movie set in the first place? I am not familiar with what they use in movie sets but the blanks I've seen don't look like anything you could confuse with live rounds.

Didn’t Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee’s son) die due to a malfunctioning prop gun discharging an actual projectile?

Seems like it is rare but not unheard of

there should be a rule

the only videos of people riding fucking bicycles on the road that you can post, are videos where they wipe out hilariously, preferably with severe injuries
or of them being complete douche-bags to motorists, walkers, etc., and then getting their comeuppance.

These idiots are trying to make the case that a lack of an inner monologue is normal or even a positive thing. They're trying to paint an inner monologue as somehow crazy. What in the actual fuck.

OK now I'm gonna need to find a study examining political affiliations of people with and without an inner monologue. This can't be a coincidence.

"blissful silence", they call it. Unironically. They're talking about people who arent actually sentient. Goddam pod people. People that if we had a test for it we should immediately exterminate for the good of the human race. But "blissful silence", they call it. Fuck this planet.

“When I am alone and relaxed, there are no words at all,” he says. “There’s great pleasure in that.” He can easily while away an hour without having a single thought.
Many of the people I speak to learned late in life that their inner voices were not the norm.

Fucking non sentient pod people wrote this article. Pure propaganda.

People without inner voices arent actually sentient humans.

Not having an inner monologue or thought process just seems bizarre.

I wonder if people who lack that are less creative or have difficulty with critical thinking problems

I was really interested to discover there is a name for this sensation and people studying it. Its interesting that such a wide variety of stimuli can trigger what is recognizably the same sensation in different people.

My second reaction is horror at discovering that apparently most sufferers of this condition enjoy it. In some cases going so far as to deliberately trigger it. what in the actual fuck

I'm reminded of the twilight zone episode where the patient wakes and the viewer sees for the first time that all the "normal" people around her have the faces of monsters
Weird, I’ve never really read about ASMR until this article. I thought it was some sex and eating combination thing. I have this, I get it when listening to certain music. A lot more with something I really like or something that I listened to a long time ago/have memories around. Almost always when I’m driving and listening to music by myself. It doesn’t feel bad, it’s like tingle chills from the head and down my back. Not something I’d call an affliction or suffering from. I don’t try triggering it though, just something that happens like when you get a random chill.
