It's incredibly easy to mislead society on a massive scale as it is now with just misleading news. Imagine what it's going to be like with convincing fake video/audio. We're fucked.

Maybe the increased memeing potential it will unlock will mess with the signal to noise ratio so much that the brain washing gets drowned out. The problem solves itself by putting out so much fictional content that people get numb to it and take literally everything they see with a grain of salt?

That will also affect the real stuff too though. Nothing will be credible, even the stuff that is. We're already seeing elements of this now in redpilled people that have learned to stop trusting anything they cannot personally verify, which is a burden few have the time to take on. When everything can be fake, there can be no trust, and a society that cannot trust itself is one that cannot survive without abandoning sensibility and just giving into cult-like mindlessness.

Yeah that was one of the earlier points I made -- eventually video evidence will even be inadmissible in court due to how easily it can be faked. Scary world that will be.

That's silly. If we can train AI to generate deepfakes from a given dataset we can also train AI to spot the fakes.

And training any AI to look for spoofs will always be easier than training one to produce the deepfakes.

Great. Have fun convincing people that it actually is fake after the damage is done instead of just believing what their eyes tell them. I'm sure that there will be credible sources to debunk it that don't get treated the same as wrongthink sources do now.

Can she even be charged she did this while in space LOL

If I remember right, each astronaut in the ISS is subject to the laws of his or her country of origin.

Both right IMO. Truth can be known but our growing population of natural conservatives and classical liberals will embrace legislation which red flags those who doubt the facts. Epstein's death, Ruth Beta Ginsburg's life, the Amazon's fires; our precrime AI suspects that you have some alarming opinions, citizen.

And then we forever trust the AI overlords to infallibly tell us what the truth is?

The answer will be to create an AI that can monitor and police the other AI's. We'll need to have ultimate trust in that AI though, and surrender our supremacy to it as a result. And thus God was born.

I'm all for it provided there's AI sexbots.

400 to 500 mile range makes that interesting. Make it a 2 door and a real truck bed, really interesting.
