Trailer had me till it said a Happy Madison Film.. then I knew it would suck
That was at the beginning. So the trailer had you for 0 seconds?

Is this the movie Indians got butt hurt over?
I thought that was million ways to die in the west. Though, lets be honest here, the indians will probably get butthurt over this one too. They pretty much get butthurt over stuff and run casinos these days.

the supporting cast in this is ridiculous. Crews alone makes me want to give this a shot:

Yeah no chance this goes anywhere. Aside from the fact that Django is the only remotely Western film to do well in the last two decades, Sandler managed to make me hate Dinkage for even being in a movie with him.

I used to get annoyed when trailers for comedies ruined all the best jokes. Nowadays, most comedy trailers don't contain any funny jokes at all. Careful what you wish for, and all that.

3;10 to yuma was great. Also JJ the coward was good. Deadwood was the best show in a generation. Open range, True Grit, all great. Django is the most overrated clap fest besides Waltz wrecking shit.

Also, Im watching this to spite the bitter engines while I wear my Redskins Jersey, Drinking Lucky Lager. Peace

Blazing Saddles had a couple dud jokes in it but overall knew exactly what it was doing. A lot of the "offensive" stuff was more in line with satire than being just offensive for the sake of it. It's also decades old.

Whereas the dumb-native-American-name thing has been done to death and never is very funny anyway. It has to fit in to some bigger joke or something, pretty much like any name gag.

They couldn't even make a Blazing Saddles type movie in todays society, that's how offensive it was. If you think otherwise you really need to rewatch it with a different perspective that racisim is satire.

I love me some Blazing Saddles but I'm not blind to the fact that that shit would never get made today. It's along the same lines hon how we will never have anything on the same level as "Married with Children" ever again.

its too offensive for today's society only because today's society is constantly butthurt over every little thing. people are calling for poor ridley scott's head because he cast some white guys as egyptians. blazing saddles isnt really offensive as its a comedy and no malicious intent was made. adam sandler thinks he is mel brooks when he mocks gays and minorities, but he comes across as just mean instead of funny.

Dude, I love Blazing Saddles but you're full of it. I agree the PC movement is out of control, but you can't get pissy over Adam Sandler doing the same shit. Like IO said, half of Blazzing Saddles would have never made it past editing in todays society. Whatever excuse you want to use, it doesn't stop it from being true.

no, its you looking at it the wrong way, look at django unchained, more n-bombs dropped in that movie than blazing saddles. movies with offensive language can still be made, but since nobody has a sense of fucking humor anymore (including adam sandler) nobody can laugh at stereotypes without feeling guilty and then reacting to it as "racism! " django only gets away with it because only the "bad guys" say it, even though its a period movie and in reality N-bombs were said by not just bad people. its why people get butthurt over positive characters such as "American Inventor Jim" appearing in Tom Sawyer because you cant call the guy the N word if you arent some kind of terrible person, but back then it was commonplace.

so lets move passed that and just say that when mel brooks did it he was using stereotypes and epithets as satire of a time gone by. where as adam sandler does it in ALL his movies regardless of time period and he comes off as an asshole going for a cheap laugh from dipshits who enjoy that kind of "humor'

here is an article on why comedians have to walk on eggshells these days.

Stand-Up Comics Have to Censor Their Jokes on College Campuses - The Atlantic
Two of the most respected American comedians, Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld, have discussed the unique problems that comics face on college campuses. In November, Rock told Frank Rich in an interview for New York magazine that he no longer plays colleges, because they're "too conservative." He didn't necessarily mean that the students were Republican; he meant that they were far too eager "not to offend anybody." In college gigs, he said, "you can't even be offensive on your way to being inoffensive." Then, in June, Seinfeld reopened the debate-and set off a frenzied round of op-eds-when he said in a radio interview that comics warn him not to "go near colleges-they're so PC."
